The glorious war on terror! The war to make the world a better safer place! A war started by a fool trying to live up to his fathers standards? More than likely, this is indeed the case with Bush's so called war. Surely, no thiking human being on which an entire nation depended on would ever deign to spend such prodigious quantities of resources and useful man-hours on a whim? Is it not obvious that perhaps, maybe, just maybe, the threat of non-existant biological weapons in Iraq as an excuse for a useless war are dwarfed by other, more subtle threats.

Americans as a rule dislike sharing, especially when it puts them at an intance of vulnerability. Due to the lack of attention towards larger threats and causes than finishing what a father started, Americans are now indeed put in a very vulnerable position. Has every government official overlooked the looming threats of China and of course India? Yes, the two most populous countries in the world, costumed by their facade of inactivity. The CIA has certainly noted these powers, even written a report (available at www.cia.gov/nic/NIC_globaltrend2020.html ) The report predicts that by the year 2020, America as a world power will be sharing with China and India. And certainly, Chinas recent trend in the increase of spending for defense will make them a formidable military power. Americans as a whole are blunted to China and India, viewing them as third-world countries with no prospect of power, yet while in reality they are indeed the richest in the world of the most important resource: human lives.

The populations of China and India, coupled with their military spending and our and Europe's inattention will lead to a disorienting change in the world economic power. China and India, having some of the world's largest economys, has everybody wanting a piece of the pie (proved in the nine powers agreement after World War I, when nine world powers including China treatised for China to have an open door policy to all trade and activity in its economy, and open said economy equally to the involved powers) India also has a large economy, due to its population. This will quite possibly lead to Indian dominance of Europe, and Asian supremacy.

It was a grave mistake to ignore these looming threats for so long, for now it will be doubly difficult to rebalance ourselves to brace against this economic takeover.

How do you suppose that china and india are going to become so powerful. Rember that 60-75% of the population of thoes countries can barely feed themselves. Also rember this will all depend upon other countrys not growing there economys and alliences. Acually there are about 8 possible extra countries to consider when we are talking about possible future superpowers.
Also the riches and technology/industry are only consentrated in 4-5 cities/areas of each of thoes respective countries(China,India). To have a big superpower this must be all across the country more or less.Take any superpower that has ever existed in the world, and see how there industry/tech/and farming practices were distributed...And especially nowdays when you have to be truely global..
