Would you say today's political systems or ideologies are obsolete and are still all 20th century! U've got Democracy, Communism, Libertarianism, Fascism, socialism, anarchism etc and are old fashioned. We are living in the 21st century and need a new political system or ideology. If you wanted to start a new political movement, what would your system or ideology be?

I'd say .......no, although in the UK traditional political idealogies are being adapted to the people rather than the other way around.

U've got Democracy, Communism, Libertarianism, Fascism, socialism, anarchism etc and are old fashioned.

Why are they old fashioned?

We are living in the 21st century and need a new political system or ideology.

Say's who?

you are a little mixed up here. You are mixing social theories with economic theories. a social democracy is the blending of socialist economies policies with democratic, libertarian systems of government and society. The doctrine of libertarian communism advocates a revolutionary system of economics with libertarian social policy. however, the distinction must be made between the two groups of theories: economic theory and social theory. You also seem to think that democracy and any of the others are mutually exclusive. please rethink this.

No, a social democracy is that of capitalism with socialist ideology and goals.

You seem to confuse democracy and capitalism. Capitalism (and also western societies) are most certainly NOT democratic - actual democracy involves a hell of a lot more than just electing a leader.

Well to give you an example from UK, the Labour Government of the moment is not sticking to idelogical roots and creating policy around "what works"
With both the opposition parties disregarding and moving away from the respective extremist left and right, they are both fighting for the middle ground.

Thank goodness I don't live in a democracy. Democracy is mob rule, majority tyranny. People use the term democracy too loosely. I still laugh everytime someone thinks that the United States is a democracy...no...The United States is a REPUBLIC...there's a difference. Sorry for the rant...

Also, democracy is system of government. Capitalism is a economic system.
Social democracy blends socialist and capitalist ideas. There is free trade, for example, but there's also a massive welfare state.

Social democracy blends socialist and capitalist ideas. There is free trade and private businesses, for example, but there's also government-run sectors and a massive welfare state.

Well I will have to say that the US is not what our forefathers had in mind any longer and that certain groups rule behind the president, is all about money and power now.

Now if you want to change the world you can call yourself a new messiah and start you own group of believes and ideology.

The last know messiah was Mohamed and he has become quite powerful in his religion.

So is about time somebody else get to pull the string for the masses.
