Sorry

I was NOT the one that referred to it as toilet paper...I have read the bible and obviously know more of it origins and history than you do and I have not misquoted anything....I suggest that you study and learn all the areas of the bible that have been deleted, added to and mistranslated....this isn't hard to do, no one is telling you it will change your belief...but you should want to know the truth and understand your own bible and beliefs......it's hard for me to understand that a person would not want to know the real history of their faith. I also think you have a very warped view of my faith. It may surprise you to learn that many, many Wiccans attend a Christian, non denominational church....I believe in god, but not the warped way perceived in the bible. I believe much of the bible, but not in it's current form, I believe Jesus existed, but not as a messiah....there is a lot you need to learn. We are not evil, not worship anything negative, though there are bad Witches just like there are bad/false Christians. The main tenet of our faith is...."An it harm none, do as thou will" We believe in the three/nine fold law...you do not do anything negative to anyone/thing because it will come back to you three/nine fold.....only an idiot fools round with anything negative.....we strive to be the best person we can be. This is one of the reason that I do not drink, do not smoke or do drugs...I do my best.

Have you been clear with the other members that have been cursing and running down the Bible? I certainly hope so.

Cursing yes.....but running down the bible? No...we are free to express our belief in a civilized way. This isn't a "christian site...we all can say what we want as long as it doesn't attack a member, or become nasty....

Nothing has been deleted from the Bible, you need to Study about the Canon and how it was formed.
I'm sorry, but a Wiccan saying she worships God is a major oxymoron. It makes no sense at all. It's great that you do not drink or smoke, but it takes a lot more than that to enter Heaven. If you want to be a witch, do so,,,,, but I find it incredibly offensive to hear you bring Christianity into it,,,, they are two separate things and do not belong together.

Point taken,,,, but attacking my Christianity or my Bible is the exact thing as attacking me. Remember that

No it's not and I have every right to voice my views on it. And yes..there is plenty that has been deleted from the bible. Reincarnation for one! Because I say one should should study and learn and that there are deletions and additions to the bible does not mean I am attacking it...just telling you...

Deesv,

You never adressed the Hebrew version of the Bible, why is that? There are clear distinctions to be made in the Hebrew Cannon released in Janvia in 90 A.D and the KJV in 1611: Take for example the KJV does not incorprate the Leningrad codex nor does it the Dead Sea Bible --of which I own, and the entire Nag Hammadi Library. These lead to a plethora of typocraphical, syntax, grammer, and other such inconsistencies in the KJV. Everything from simple translation problems --taking Koin Greek to Hebrew to Latin; Paleo Hebrew to Coptic languages; Latin to english-- transliteration problems, and other problems dealing with linguistics. The Bible under Constantine was heavily influenced by Paganism, as we see in the Synoptic gospels of which I've stated many times before, sadly, only to deaf ears --one can't discard the fact that the 'miracles' and entire mythos of Christ has been laid in history THOUSANDS of years before the man ever existed. As for the contradictions, one can assume that Matt, Luke, John, then the 50 other Gospels all tell a very different story of "Jesus Christ." It's mans folly to rely on the early cannonized and deeply pagan gospels, and discard the 50 plus that exist.

As for LadyV being a Wiccan and worshiping God: Well, what does that have anything to do with her ability to understand and rationaly detract the Bible? Hardly anything; the Bible does it itself. A simple Google search could suffice.

There is nothing deleted from the Bible,,,, and what in the world are you talking about reincarnation? You are not seriously about to tell me that the Bible talked about reincarnation at some point are you?

Dude just because you own these books means nothing to me. You could own the entire Vatican library for all I care but that doesn't mean you are an authority on the Bible. I find it very blasphemous that anyone would ever insinuate that the Bible is anything other than the Inspired Word of God. As for the wiccan, tell me you are not agreeing with what she said.

There were indeed references to reincarnation in the Old and New Testaments. In A.D. 325 the Roman emperor Constantine the Great, along with his mother, Helena, had deleted references to reincarnation contained in the New Testament. The Second Council of Constantinople meeting in A.D. 553, confirmed this action and declared the concept of reincarnation a heresy.

As for the wiccan!? You say that like it's dirty or something!? I am not by any stretch of the imagination the only Wiccan here ya know....and you don't play well with others at all! You are exactly the type of Christian I usually run into...at least here at ATS I have met others that display what Christianity is supposed to be...tolerant and understanding.....you need to practice your faith.

While on earth, Jesus spoke of reincarnation. The information was removed from the Bible in 323 AD by the Council of Nicea. Ever heard of the "Book of Jubilees"? Ever heard of the "Apocrypha"?

Who ever told you that Christianity is supposed to be tolerant and understanding. Don't get me wrong,,,,, I am not a mild mannered person,,,, there are all types of temperments in the Christian world as in the secular world. I do not say the things I say on behalf of all Christians, but the Bible is the Bible, make no mistakes about it.

Jesus taught love your enemy, turn the other cheek. Also do not get drunk, no porn, no lusting in your heart etc etc....you should know all that

Jesus said that we as Christians are the salt of the earth and that it is our responsibility to spread what the Bible says to others. It doesn't say "hey if you see someone living a lifestyle contrary to what the Bible has laid out then just accept it and never say a word to them and move on"

I really don't want to get into this thread, so this will be my only post to it. What you said in regards to LadyV was offensive. About your statement, I believe that was Jesus who said that. Go look up Matthew 7:1 and 7:2.

He said not to judge, not to hate....if you can't spread the word without being judgmental...your accomplishing nothing at all, you seem very hateful towards other religions and gays.......noticed you skipped over all the rest of it...

I am a Christian. I must tell you that it’s difficult if not impossible to spread the good word of God and curse somebody out with the same breath. Do you think Jesus would respond as you have? Try to lose some of the anger, show compassion and spread love as God wanted.

Deesw, I know you believe in your heart what you are saying. I know that you believe with deep vehemence. The thing is, as a Christian, sometimes the best way to get people to understand what you are saying is with a kind tongue. You cannot full force attack others. You must speak all your beliefs with kindess

You may be the only bible someone ever sees. Make it worth their while to want to know more. Not less.

What are you talking about,,,, I have cursed no one,,,, the only name I called was fruit in a way earlier posting. I was cursed, and the Wiccan keeps trying to quote the Bible and has no idea what she is talking about. Talking about reincarnation and the Bible, Witches praying to GOD and the Bible saying nothing about homosexuality. How did I get to be the focus?
