The US military claims it thought it was striking ISIS. Think about that a minute. The US claims to be a military superpower. It spies on the entire world, even on the personal emails and cell phone calls of its European vassals. Yet, somehow all this spy power failed to differentiate a known Syrian Army position from ISIS. If we believe that, we must conclude that the US is militarily incompetent.

I agree with Paul Craig Roberts. The US military is lying or incompetent. Do you agree?

I believe a lack of morality destroys people's souls. My view is that you can't be part of things such as what's listed below and keep your humanity. I believe in such cases you lose your intelligence with your humanity.

U.S. Soldiers Told to Ignore Sexual Abuse of Boys by Afghan Allies

5,200 Pentagon Employees Bought Child Pornography – Investigation halted after 8 Months

Incidents of rape in military much higher than previously reported

Wholeheartedly, you could also say that there are other examples of dishonesty or incompetence, 9/11 being one and as far as I know, not one of the military high command or above have been disciplined.

I have a feeling the last 30 years or so,the emphasis on weaponry was to keep us citizens under control,it's the things we aren't told about we should be afraid of,has to be a reason for it

Someone deliberately want that target struck, to break the ceasefire. Someone with in the intelligence community made damn sure that the target for bombing were mis-marked.

The US is becoming a thing that a lot of people are just not going to buy any more . It is like China in that China built things and stuff but it only looked like the real things but had/has such a low quality to it .This fall back position of "mistake" / Error will not get you far in this world ,especially if you claim to be exceptional .

Rather then the US becoming a partner with Russia in Syria I would think Russia has a strong case that any other countries wanting to help will need to go through them .That way a good central planner and coordinator can be responsible for any and all errors .

Pfft.. .and why would that be?

He's telling the truth as far as I and many others can see. If you find the stuff he writes about loony you're still the subject of severe brainwashing.

I am really pissed about this. Now we are helping our enemies and saying "oops my bad" when called out on it.

How many ISIS animals do you think we allowed to get through to the greater territory the Syrian army was blocking them from?

How many women and children will be raped and murdered by them in an area they were denied access to by the Syrian army?

How many of these bastards now going merrily into this new teritory have killed our brothers and sisters fighting them?

How many of our people have these bastards tortured and beheaded that now we give them air support in thanks for it?

I hope who ever the traitor was that helped our enemies is killed and all of his budies too.

This is betrayal for a profit.

Last question, how much is US air support worth? Our honor and some change, thats how much.

i bet the chain of commands are now being traced in the Pentagon.

Either the entire Pentagon is corrupt and backs ISIS, or certain members are working for the White House who want World War 3 to go nuclear very soon.

Once upon a time we were taught to disobey an unlawful order... Those days seem to have faded, as they turned the military into "gotta screw your buddy to make 20".

Folks no longer call out supervision for the wrong call for fear of paperwork that will ruin a career.... When that happens you get a no questions asked military.

Our military can only be as good as it's leaders. Those leaders are the POTUS, Congress and our Generals. Our POTUS establishes policy, Congress approves or disapproves, our Generals have meetings and plans are formulated. These same Generals have Command Sargent Majors reminding them of birthdays, dentist appointments, medical appointments, public PR events, their wives agenda's etc. and all while trying to form strategies within a group of Generals in a War Room who's parameters are defined by special interests, ie. the war machine profit and losses, and all the time with shrinking appropriations.

The military is not incompetent for lack of intelligence, tactical strategy or personal ineptness, if anything it is due to the financial and special interest restraints. Most Generals IQ's are well above 120 which is considered pretty smart. Our military is hampered by the ineptness of the civilian political theatre.

The US army and government are incompetent and evil.

It is in the hands of factions who are have other interests than American well being: neocons that love Israel over America and militarist and military industrial complex intelligence lackeys who live for defense contracts.

America is a monstrous state headed for doom with Trump or Hillary

Willtell, yea we get, you hate the US. You say as much in most all of your posts.

You say "The US army and government are incompetent and evil".
That's a pretty broad statement.

"neocons that love Israel over America and militarist and military industrial complex intelligence lackeys who live for defense contracts".

Seems an oxymoron redundancy.... Trump scares you huh ? no need to worry about Hillary, she's just a 'token' candidate.

Are you one in fear of the changes coming ? "neocons that love Israel over America and militarist and military industrial complex intelligence lackeys who live for defense contracts. ? ISRAEL will always be America's Favorite Child, always, until there is no US. Does that scare you ? I'd be more afraid of the Source, ..... the Creator of Israel.

Personally, I don't think the military is incompetent, I think this was completely on purpose. But meh, what do I know. I do believe that a certain point, the higher chain, knows exactly whats going on, and the lower chain is just doing what it's told, not knowing all the correct information.

i have to agree, in an age of advanced technology like we have today it`s hard to plead ignorance when you "accidently" kill friendly units.

I feel the same as you then, my apology to infer otherwise. I believe additionally this mindset is almost universal. And that your position is that of a patriot.

and we all know the US military is not incompetent dont we even though it seems they were on 911, anyway we wont hold that against them. So righto lets say they were incompetent on two occasions in the last 15 years or so, then the question whose responsibility is it and whats going to be done about it? Who knows, this incompetence could lead to accidental nuclear war couldn't it??

if they are not incompetent then the actions as per this report is nothing less than deliberate isn't it in which case, again, it very clearly obvious that they are barracking for and supporting ISIS.
