CURRENT STATUS OF ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES (Ongoing Thread)

As of Saturday September 17, 2016

""A Reuters poll released today shows Hillary Clinton’s once-significant Electoral College lead dropping sharply in recent weeks -- with much tighter races in Florida, Ohio and other key states that will decide the national contest.

The wire service’s weekly tracking poll of more than 15,000 Americans project that Clinton -- “if the race was held today” -- has a 60 percent chance of winning by 18 electoral votes, compared to having an 83 percent chance last week.

Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, or her Republican rival, Donald Trump, will need 270 electoral votes -- from a total of 538 across all 50 states, based on the how many members of Congress each state has.

The electoral college vote is trending to mirror the popular vote, it seems. Rather than start a new thread every time there's a shift one way or the other before election day, we can just keep adding to this thread. At least that's what I'm going to do.

Cheers!

Clinton still leads in key battlefield states. New Hampshire has just gone from toss up to leaning blue.
Nevada is still in play but Trump would still have to turn Pennsylvania and Virginia two swing states showing blue. Although I think Virginia should be considered blue for the most part.
He thinks he has a chance in N.Y. but there are way more dems in N.Y. than republicans.

After the debates, Trump will slink away in shame. If he even bothers to show up....which I doubt.

btw the electoral college doesn't reflect the popular vote it's Bought and sold just everything else in America.

It will be interesting to see if Hillary's reappearance last week, after her most recent illness, will stem the loss of momentum her campaign is experiencing.

One big problem for Hillary is that she doesn't say much in her speeches. It's mostly just rah-rah stuff, and Trump bashing.

It's rigged. Clinton has enough cash and black male substance to win. Just how it is.

Look out Bill...Hillary needs to stop the bleeding and autocrats inevitably turn to emotions for support....

In this case she needs to be humanized...what's more human than a widow???

Anyhow, here's 13 minutes of Hillary lying....oops, I mean 'evolving' her positions...sorry for the micro-aggression to my liberal friends:

Your kidding right... Trump debated against 16 other candidates and shut them all out, while Hillary couldn't even seal the deal against a 74 year old Socialist.

Let's just hope she doesn't have one of her episodes.

I wouldn't say he out debated them. More like he out slandered them. There wasn't much of a debate.

If you recall, that 74 year old Socialist was also the clear favorite in beating Trump too. Also, the one guy Trump chose not to debate even though he said he wanted to and was even offered millions in charity money to do so.

LOLOLOL

That makes way more sense now!! Thanks for clearing that up. It sounded kind of gross the other way.

Amazing what just a couple incorrect letters can make.

After everything we have seen and found out about Hillary who is actually voting for her in the USA, is there some strange S&M movement where the general population wish to continue being punished. It is almost as if they crave more of the same.

Anyhow come Election Day I am sure a few surprises will take place, I am sure there are still a good proportion of non cuck voters who have the balls to not allow another Crime Dynasty to continue to send you down the river.

Trump is going to dominate Clinton.

She will no longer hide behind her well paid surrogates.

Trump will annihilate that thumb pointing human bowling pin.

You better hope that weeble wobble but she don't fall down.

It's hard to run out the clock in a two person debate.

My prediction....Trump will bring the pimp hand down.

If the election were held today, she would win the 270 electoral votes needed in all probability.

What does he need to do to win it? Trump needs to prevent Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio from flipping towards her - which it looks like he will be able to do - and he himself must flip Virginia (it's definitely a battleground state, but has at various points throughout the campaign been a dead heat, or leaning Clinton) and Nevada (same story there.) He can probably get Virginia. But Nevada will be tougher. If he can't do the latter, then he would have to flip some other state that leans Clinton more heavily than NV and... that seems improbable right now looking at the map.

That said, they are getting closer and closer to a margin of error race in some of those states, and it they both push it to that realm by election day... all bets are off. And if anything else happens to damage either candidates credibility and likability between now and then (which... honestly, seems incredibly likely on both sides given how this election has gone,) it could swing wildly in either one's favor. This election season has been insane.

Additionally, the polling in terms of popular vote is tightening up considerably in the last week or so. So we really could see another situation where one candidate wins the popular, but the other wins the electoral votes. I don't look forward to seeing people's response to that.

This is purely my personal opinion of the electoral map, not an assertion or an emotional take on it. I'm not voting for either of them.

Peace.

She sent out Bernie and Liz to Ohio because she is sinking with the millens.

When Trump got the nom they were saying he needed the 50 states and the moon to win.

So don't count the chickens before they hatch.

or come home to roost. What's up with the chicken thing?

Sneaky chickens will getcha.
