Wow. You actually had a more despicable answer than I did.

The first one, Yup gotta be the first beer.

I usually don't remember the last one.
Just kinda find it spilled on the floor where I come too...

Allagash white or maybe Scrimshaw. Worst I've ever had was a warm MGD. Blech.

I just saw there is another active thread on beer in the food and cooking forum.
www.abovetopsecret.com...

I only just saw it.

Not in a million years did I think I needed to search active threads for beer.

But that thread is more on brands, taste and topics for the beer aficionado.

I more enjoy the narratives of what makes a beer really great - a story from life that ends in a really refreshing beer.

But whatever the mods decide, great stuff everybody.
I really enjoyed the "beer pressure" tales so far!

I just got back visiting relatives in Canada a few weeks ago and they introduced me to a Canadian beer I really liked called SLEEMAN. Unfortunately it's not sold in the states.

Whatever I have in my kegerator at the moment... Currently an American Red.

When you brew your own, you get to tailor it to your tastes. About to brew my winter Imperial Stout... 8% ABV and delicious. It'll be ready about December.

Love dogfish head 90 minute IPA.

There was also a beer called Accumulation. Can't remember who made it, but it was an IPA that tasted like dank buds.

Non IPA beer favs are Revolver Red Blood Ale, Shiner Prickly Pear, and Shiner Holiday Cheer.

Rolling Rock.

Especially after a hard day of grueling physical labor.

Lowenbrau dark from the 70's. Barring that, Spatten dark. The original Lowenbrau however is no longer made to my knowledge, and a Miller brewing substitute now sells.

Microbreweries have really taken off in South Africa, but I still prefer our normal, bog standard SAB (South African Brewery) beers.

And aficionados may stone me, but my favorite is Black Label.
It's still the most popular working class beer.

Second is probably Castle (Charles Glass).

We have a popular drinking song: "When we drink Castle we hurl across the table, 'cause Charles Glass can kiss my a** 'cause we all drink Black Label".

Amusingly enough they're all brewed by SAB.
The only real alternative (before craft beer recently took off) was Windhoek beer.
This is brewed in Namibia according to the German purity law.

But still to me there's nothing as refreshing as Black Label draught.

Well, a vodka between the sips,
Makes beer easier on the lips.

They can be mutually reinforcing.
