Dear "certain" US members...

I have been a little reluctant to post here for fear of one of my threads or posts being twisted around or being "polluted" by the US elections.

I have stopped posting for quite a while now under another name and am even getting quite tired of lurking as the same subjects seem to be coming up all the time... and this is becoming quite tedious...

US ELECTIONS and which canditate is sicker than the other... It is a sad state of affairs when it comes to which candidate is dying of whatever disease you care to make up or what this or that candidate did in the past etc... when you could be debating what each candidate has to offer to make your country and world politics better...?

I have noticed that "nearly"... NOT all or every thread(s) that have been written here have had a member or certain members (usually the same people or their alts (see their posting style)) posting something (no matter how large the post... even if it is only a candidate name) about a US electoral candidate and their supposed weaknesses and trivial information and to be quite honest it is an upmost lack of respect to the original poster and his/hers work and research.

Please... I ask POLITELY... give us international members a break...

Above Top Secret is not just ONLY about the US elections... there are political sites for people to whinge and whine and attack each others political choices...

PLEASE stop spamming up the pages of ATS for us international members that wanted to enjoy ATS for this :

AboveTopSecret.com is the Internet's largest and most popular discussion board community dedicated to the intelligent exchange of ideas and debate on a wide range of "alternative topics" such as conspiracies, UFO's, paranormal, secret societies, political scandals, new world order, terrorism, and dozens of related topics on current events, politics, and government wrong-doing with poignant commentary from a diverse mix of users from all over the world.

More here : www.abovetopsecret.com...

If you want to talk front page MSM sheeple news then Reddit is the place to go for all bots or shills.

Give us a break please and bring us back to what ATS used to be all about...

Please?

Thank you

Warmest respects

Lags

Ps. I expect to be flamed... go ahead, I really don't care anymore after reading so much of the same banter over and over again.

I am a U.S. citizen and I am sick to death of all the political back-biting,
and back-stabbing bull that is being shoved down our throats every day.
It is all over our broadcasts,mail,phones,papers,internet...
I can't wait until this election season is over provided it isn't cancelled
by martial law,nuclear war,mass destruction,pandemic...

I agree. It's getting nuts. But you have to understand that this is basically the only independent forum that people from the U.S. can talk about what's actually going on during this historic election.

Our mainstream media works overtime to passionately promote ignorance and lies. Perhaps it's similar internationally, but I have a feeling it's worse here.

Why not start some new threads? I'm a big fan of the conspiracies in religion, philosophy and metaphysics, etc forums.

Hope i helped!

As an American in one of the "battleground states," I hear you. But then I go to work and troll the heck out of the very easily provoked socialist. But I've been slacking off on that because it too is getting old, and that was just doing like once a week or less and it's gotten old. At some point I start thinking that those who constantly post this stuff are either in dire need of the same or similar psychiatric treatment I've been getting or are being paid per post.

That says it pretty nicely.

I tend not to click on threads about UK Labour vs Conservative arguments. I have yet to write a thread telling all the limeys to shut up about their political stuff.

Unfortunately there also a large number of members here that are sick to the teeth of all these political posts... ATS has been taken over for the past couple of months or so...

Heck... I have never seen ATS drowned in football posts and threads compared to the UNITED STATES elections (especially this election period) and all the unbelievable behaviour and certain threads/posts that some members have shown here concerning said elections?... we are supposed to be international and also pretty open minded here no?

I may be wrong...

Warmest regards

If you want a break, TAKE one. Stay out of the political forums. Confine yourself to the conspiracy, UFO, paranormal, secret societies, political scandals, new world order and terrorism forums... Is that so difficult?

I'm not defending the insanity that is this US election. I get sick of it, too. I TAKE a break when I need it. Don't depend on others to GIVE you what you can take for yourself.

The football analogy was great. I also don't participate in Christmas... But I don't call on the rest of the world to GIVE me a break from it.

I disagree...

If those that want to banter on about US politics want to banter then they do it on US dedicated political BANTER sites...

Not an international site such as ATS in order to spoil the enjoyment of what used to be a great conspiracy/debate forum for those rest of US (NOT US) world citizens out here.

Kindest respects

I can understand that, but why are you reading of looking at them if you despise them so much? The forums are clearly labeled ( + symboled ) So if you're in, for example, the UFO forum, Or paranormal forum, which you like, How is it you're reading political posts?

The only way i can fathom that you would be seeing a political post is by actually going into a political forum and reading them, Which seems to me as slightly counter productive to your argument...

Disagree all you want but the election talk isnt going anywhere.

I agree with you that it hurts the other quality content on the site. But it is what it is andwe have a few more months of it.

I appreciate and respect your stand BH.

However, if you look at "nearly" every topic not having something to do with the elections you will probally come across at least one post that has to mentionthe US political situation or candidate name at the moment or over the past couple of years.

Thus the reason why I don't want to create another thread in those topics until at least a year after the US elections (the other year or two will be spent whining from both sides and will pollute yet again valuable debating space for other important subjects here on ATS)

Kindest respects

Nope.

I always go to the new topics page when coming to ATS to catch up with the latest of what is going about on the rest of the globe... so nothing counter productive about that?

Please start interesting and engaging topics which have nothing to do with the U.S. elections if that's what you want to see at ATS.

We, in the U.S., are very preoccupied right now because, in my view, this election period is about a lot more than U.S. politics, thus the unusually heavy and weighted focus.

What's going on in your country?

Thanks for being a good sport about it

Unfortunately, even once the election is over, whoever it is that is "elected" will also be in the news all the time since so many people hate both of them, BUT at least the back and forth crap will be over with in a few short months
