I am absolutely crissed off win 7 folder choices defaulting to Details view.

This has to one of the worst setting of the available choices. Is there any wares that can be used to permanently set the folder view setting to List view?

I've used the win 7 folder settings to set it to List View but I've grown sick and tired of constantly resetting them every few days because no matter what I do the settings only last for a couple days.

I've looked for every possible variable in all the settings, manually set every main subfolder and told it to cascade the settings to all subsidiary folders to list view, etc.

Therse's got to be something out there that will auto reset all folders.

Thanks in advance

If this is a external drive it will always default back. ;/

But if it's internal, make sure the Main folder settings is changed in tools>Folder options>View then apply to all inc sub folders.

Main folder > Sub folders ect.

You could try this if it don't.

Mine stays the way I set them...no issues. They only change if I change them.

Im curious though if it could be related to some part within the programs or files where youve asked folders in a particular file location...to display a certain way...just in that one location...that may overide all of them from time to time?
