Missing Florida Boy Found Safe, page 1

The 11-year-old boy believed to have been taken from Florida by a convicted child molester has been recovered in northwest Georgia.

"The child has been recovered," FBI (search) spokesman Steven Lazarus said Friday evening. "He is safe and he is OK. The adult subject is still at large. We believe he is possibly in the same wooded area."

Frederick Fretz (search), 42, picked up 11-year-old Adam Kirkirt (search) at Dunnellon, Fla., Elementary School on Tuesday, police said. Fretz's car was found at the end of an Interstate 75 northbound exit ramp in Emerson, Ga., 40 miles northwest of Atlanta earlier Friday.

Authorities believed Fretz may have intended to set up a camp site at Red Top Mountain park near the area where the car was abandoned.

I'm so glad that he's safe. I prayed for him all week. I hope the suspect is caught and I hope they put him away for good this time.
