'Can the world (UN) stop America's War On Terror?'

short answer...NO

they are too enmeshed with their own problems, witness the Oil For Food with Iraq mess & the sensitive atomic processing & materials pipeline to Iran still being uncovered. No, the UN members are independently self-serving and duplicitious.

Sure, for the audience, they will puff & stomp & admonish & criticise the
'War on Terror', particularly the US presence in Iraq.
The EU & UN doesn't rail against the War-on-terror in Afghanistan however.
Which might lead one to believe they have some sense between the ears.

i suspect the world knows that the zealot side will continue fighting against the great satan america...eventually the conflicts will be beyond the resources theme, into the economic & corporate realms, also the cherished 'right' of one-person-one-vote will be hijacked by the zealots...
and all democracies will have to suspend the rules of election or else whole districts, cities, states, regions, governments, nations...will elect the zealot elect, then the onetime democracies (however flawed) will become fundamental Islamic states.
Do Think-Tank strategians already have this model in their computers??

hey, have a nice day

^^

The coward part was in part a ridicule of the post I quoted, but every jest has a grain of truth. If the US had sent in more ground forces they wouldn't have to rely so much on air strikes. Air strikes = more collateral damage = dead children.

I wasn't slagging off US soldiers as cowardly, rather US policy.

This is why the majority of Europeans feel sick about this administration. It is viewed as greedy and cowardly. I cant see "the world" taking action though. To many countries with to many cowardly politicians.

Its cowardly only because you have liberals SCREAMING anytime a US soldier is killed...yes...Id prefer to fight a war where no US soldiers die...but thats not war...So were damned if we do...damned if we dont...airstrikes...iraqi civilian casualties...liberals scream...Ground troops....US soldiers die...Liberals scream...we cant win...

No, you´re only damned if you do. You shouldn't have started a bogus "war on terror" in the first place. Now it´s to late to go back, all you can do is to make the best of a terrible situation.

It would have been easier for you if the world was as dimwitted as 51% of the American population, but we´re not. We will know an evil and unjust war when we see one. We´re probably not able to stop you, but we will make as much noise as we can wherever we can. That´s where the UN comes in, noise, not power.

Good thing is, we only need 1,5% of americans to wake up to stop this madness. Bad thing is, they cant do anything until 4 years from now.

This is an extremely disturbing take on what is being projected for the possibility of Turkish membership in the EU. Democracy is not the problem. Citizenship requirements and immigration policies are the problem.

1. Full citizenship in most places is granted to anyone who manages to not die in the first 18 years of life. Full citizenship, including voting rights, should that you be born in a nation and that your parents be at least second generation "limited" citizens. Completion of your country's compulsory education requirements would also be a good requirement for voting rights.

2. If you let another culture come into your land in massive numbers and become influential, you are essentially conquered. Nations need to have the good sense to heavily restrict immigration. A good start would be by not requiring US hospitals to give free emergency care to illegal aliens. Thats quite a rant so I wont get into that unless somebody wants to talk about it- but thats one of the huge problems we have.

Long story short, we don't have to suspend our democracy, we just have to keep it our own. That's not racist or even nationalist- that's just wanting a place where you can live in your own culture. Everyone has the right to make a home for themselves if they can, right?

No, the world can not stop a country for trying to fight terror, when the fight will benefit the entire world.

Now, other countries can stop US way in wish is using his war on terror to bring harm to other sovereign countries that will bring destabilization and consequences to the rest of the word.
