The US house of reps voted to stop Obama from giving breaks to the banks if they donated to some very particular organizations. It has yet to go to the Senate.

source

As reported by Western Journalism, the Obama administration once again appears to be employing extra-constitutional ways to get around Congress and fund many of its favorite organizations, some of which are engaged in political activities.

After forcing multi-billion settlements with most of the major banks in the country over mortgage practices, the Justice Department offered them the option of paying back some or all of the amounts owed on a better than a two-for-one dollar basis by “donating” to approved organizations, rather than remitting all the money to the U.S. Treasury.

For example, Bank of America donated “$1.15 million to the National Urban League, which counts as if it were $2.6 million against the bank’s settlement. Similarly, $1.5 million to La Raza takes $3.5 million off the total amount of ‘consumer relief’ owed by the bank,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

“Many of these groups engage in voter registration, community organizing and lobbying on liberal policy priorities at every level of government,” the Journal noted. “They also provide grants to other liberal groups not eligible for payouts under the settlements....

Medicare is going bankrupt as a result of massive borrowing for other pet projects not to mention the massive debt and Obama takes a discount if they funnel the money to one of his favored organizations.

Money comes in and you treat it like it is your own, forget the people.

Pissed...though I don't know why. Never expect any semblance of honor from politicians.

To big to fail made all the people wail...

Corporate conglomerate entities trying to act as people will and has been accomplishing one thing: Taking away a persons individual voice.

No company, corporation, religion, ideology, relation or government owns anyone's voice as an individual or a group... unless of course they specifically signed away their world right to the freedom of speech. A government or corporate entity may say they won it in some way shape or from but in relation to the world? They don't and never could; only work in various nefarious ways to impede it or suppress it.

A twofer, huh? Or discount fines for megacorp. Win, win, theres no federal accounting office to make sure the full amount was paid to private organizations.

Imagine getting a ticket for no seat belt or running a 'yellow' light, you better pay every penny to the state... or warrants are issued.

Or in this case...who allocates the money. Bank crimes were against the American people but money only benefits those who agree with this adm.

Until these people are made to learn the definition of torture ... to see it affecting their loved ones with their own eyes ... to hear the wailing ... to be forced into atrocity ...

The ship cannot be righted and set on an even keel. It's simply gone too far.

Can't express how much I agree with you. However, it will take the loss of many lives to put this country, as it was intended, back together again.

Pray for us all.

Any idea where these stories are coming from?

Do you care at all about the fact that the author of above commentary was caught red handed plotting to fabricate false stories in order to affect a Senate race?

There is a Wall Street Journal story cited in above article. Do you know who said article is associated with?
Do you think there might be bias associated with said individuals/groups. Bias in a way that might lead them to exaggerate and omit certain things intentionally?

Interesting questions if one were inclined to ask.
