Two Minds

Imagination is just contemplation,
Of various pieces of information.
Profound thoughts and summations,
Conjoined after considerations.

Science is organized thoughts,
Used to prove what is and what's not.
Imagination of a different kind,
Contrived by an analytical mind.

A dreamer envisions the inconceivable,
Believes everything is achievable.
Will explore any and all suppositions,
Ignoring all the academic traditions.

A scholar builds on known evidence,
Believes in only what's been evinced.
Bases his theories on sound conclusions,
Won't consider ideas, born of delusions.

And as I sit here and contemplate,
Of the two minds, which holds more weight,
I realized that neither one is better,
Both were meant to work together.
