Like it really matters who's in office anyways. I find it funny that NK is stomping it's feet for attention, meanwhile our super-can-o-whoop-a$$ military is busy bombing countries that have little or no airforce...

I would go along with that time frame so as long as the Iranian militants tied to the Regime continue their abuse of the reformists and the reformists continue to get oppressed. However if either of the two movements die down with in that time then I think our administration would be hard pressed to find a quick way into a war stance. Wouldn't you???

Again, I want plenty of clear evidence and undeniable reason before we go knocking off someone else's block.

Tax cuts and lower interests can stimulate the economy only so much and create more revenue for the government so fast. Maybe we shouldn't be spending that kind of money again this soon.

War costs money. We have many finacial problems in this country right now. Many people cannot find work because know one can avoid to hire anyone. In LA they are struggling to get the money to hire new officers of the law that are needed really badly. The law and security administrations of America are the only industries with any hope in this country right now and even they have problems with funds.

Let us not forget that technically the war in Iraq isn't over. We still have to stabilze the country through hand outs and enforcement laws to keep the peace. Not to mention we haven't even caught the bid shots of the Regime we sought to capture. So we would be fighting two wars if we step into Iran too early. In my opinion we could fight a proxy war and use an underground movement pushing the ideals of revolution in Iran with much more success and effect than we could by invading the country with massive and over-whelming force.


So we need to keep our heads on straight and focus on one thing at a time if we expect to get anywhere. It would be nice if we could sweep the world clean of corruption and oppression in one big massive crusade, but the reality is that we cannot do it on our own. We sure as hell can't expect the UN to help us in these matters either. I am sure you can agree with that last assessment Thomas.

here's how we should do it. Warn tehran and pyongyang. if that dont make them settel down and listen the hit Tehran and the Pyongyang. We need to show the bad guys that we are serious about this #. i've said it once and ill say it again. EVIL REGIMES ONLY UNDERSTAND ON THING: FORCE threanten with force and they should back down. if they dont, well thats their problem.

how do you know this? sure kimmy could use his nukes, but then he would have to fear a simliar response from the US, Britian, or even possibly russia. the 3 countries just mentioned could wipe out the north thousands of times over. and if its a Nuclear SUCD, patriot missle batteries will shoot it down. but still the US could respond conventinaly after a attack from the north. either way it will be devistating to the north. its a choice weather if kimmy just wants his army destroyed or his entire country destroyed. the korean war will flare back up again make no mistake. its not a matter of if its a matter of when.

Good logic Virtue. The non-theocratic movement amoung the people in Iran are key. If they are stifled or left to whither, the present/future admin may see they're hands forced considering the Iranian govts play in terrorist activity and the meddling in Iraq.

heres the thing. a republican gets elected we'll probally invade iran then korea. if a communist...errr democrate gets elected itll be open season for terrorist and the north koreans to mess with us

I hope Iran implodes before any US govt. feels the need to fire up another Arab nation. Either choice is scary.
