I have seen people referring to the seventh day Sabbath as a burden

True, I have seen people who believe that the sabbath is a burden. And like it says in 1 John 5:3,

For this is the love of Yahweh, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.

Note that No. 1, keeping Yahweh's commandments is the LOVE OF YAHWEH; and No. 2, his commandments are not burdensome.

You have to keep them and them not be a burden. And keeping the weekly sabbath is the 4th commandment, one of the top 4.

Chapter 4:6 "It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:

"Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts."

For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience"

I'm interested in hearing additional thoughts on the topic.

The Sabbath is supposed to be a day dedicated to meditation .. not all the hoop'lah they spit out their fangs at you... It's supposed to be a day dedicated to you... but only you, ... one day where you pay attention only to your senses... one day where you discipline your senses...
it doesn't matter what day it is... pick one you like.. keep it for yourself.. and do some learning... how else you gonna get familiar with your body .... we're always too busy with food and clothes and material possessions, we take no time aside to nourish our mind and feed our mind with our pure senses untainted by our needs and desires...

It seems to me that these passages are adressing the giving up of personal will and submitting to the Fathers will. Hebrews is a difficult book and one that I have been wanting to study in more depth. The first five verses of chapter 4 are helpfull here as well.

" Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ” And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” "
