I found an interesting article:

50 Greatest 'Saturday Night Live' Sketches of All Time

I don't know how such a list could be compiled. Did the author of the article watch every Saturday Night Live episode from the beginning to make the list?

My favorite Saturday Night Live sketch is no longer on YouTube as far as I can tell. It was a sketch parodying Dennis Miller's stint as host of Monday Night Football.

"Hillary Campaign Ad" is my favorite recent skit.

Not SNL, but one of my favorites. It's from The State.

You'll have plenty of time to watch SNL sketches when you're living in a van DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!

I always thought that this was hilarious, clever ad playing off the way women are used in advertising.

Man I cant believe someone mentioned The State or more specifically that skit..
LOVED IT!
I also used to watch a lot of the Young Ones..

As for SNL to me you can't beat any skit where the cast breaks character and starts laughing. Jimmy Fallon and Bill Hader would break a lot and as you can see in the notes on the second part they actually would add jokes to the Stefon skit just to make him laugh.
