Wow. Yea, I agree Gary went a little overboard with this. But come on, compared to the truck-loads of mind-numbing, asinine crap coming out of the 'real' candidates mouths this is newsworthy? Give me a break. The crap Donald says makes Gary look like the most even-tempered, balanced individual on the planet.

This is something that has to be done.

We have people here illegally who are using other people's social security numbers illegally, claiming benefits illegally. It is a mess. It won't fix anything to make them suddenly legal, either. They have stolen and are thieves. It is wrong to do that, and trying to legalize them with penalties won't bring them forward. Why would it? They've already shown a perfect wilingness to break one set of laws to come here and them perpetuate fraud to keep living here. You want them to come forward on an honor system and self-penalize?! Right ...

So they need to go and punishing employers who employ them under the table is the best route to weed them out. Make life difficult to impossible for them and they will go. But yes, it will mean investigating and raiding employers.

The term "undocumented workers" explains the situation better

Wrong.

Provide me statistics showing illegal aliens with 100% labor participation rate, and 0% unemployment rate for illegal aliens.

I'll give you some help, because it's tough for liberal lies to defeat truth.

In 2015, the labor force participation rate of the foreign born was 65.2 percent

www.bls.gov...

It seems convenient, how there are no distinctions when they group 'foreign born'. However, if you were to do the math, you would find that the majority of those not working are ILLEGAL ALIENS.

The foreign born include legally-admitted immigrants, refugees, temporary residents such as students and temporary workers, and undocumented immigrants. The survey data, however, do not separately identify the numbers of persons in these categories.

Watch what you say folks.....watch what you say......

I already was not voting Johnson, but after seeing this there is really no chance in hell. He is crazy, a sensitive SJW, and temperamental apparently.

He actually gets angry when the man interviewing him says "illegal immigrants" instead of "undocumented immigrants", it is ridiculous.

Then he just can't stand being called out on how ridiculous he sounds.

I can't believe how far this PC bullcrap has gone. It is seriously insane the way people get offended by words and so called micro-aggressions.

Why are people on the left, like Gary Johnson defending criminals and terrorists while demonizing their own countrymen?

I don't get why people say this Gary Johnson guy is a good choice as a third option to vote for. He is nothing special, Trump still seems like a way better choice to me.

Is he drunk?! lol!!

WTF?!

But it seems he loves the illegals. I saw him last month say the same thing, stoned.

You're inviting some hardcore policing that you'd otherwise baulk at.

Look at the parallels in history and in other countries. Forget about Trump for a minute and picture the reality of deporting a large population.

Something should have been done years ago. The proposed/implied solution is liable to shatter the society of your nation. Think of a better solution.

You typed all of that yet still managed to ignore virtually every point I made. But then you expect me to look into the details of your post? Respond to my actual points and then I'll do the same with yours (maybe).
edit on 4-9-2016 by enlightenedservant because: facepalm. just noticed i'd put "II'll" instead of "I'll". LOL What's that even mean?

Of course he loves illegals, he's already stated he wants open borders.

He is libertarian, he believes American wages should be competitive with Chinese sweatshop wages, he believes that a corporation can do what they want without restriction.

I'm not a proponent of socialism, I support ethical capitalism, which requires a modicum of restraint. Libertarianism is a utopian system, like socialism, it comes with the assumption that every single person will make their purchases based on the goodness of a company rather than the cheapness of their products.

Classical libertarianism is a failed model, there is a reason it is not dominant today, because of the abuses suffered at the hands of the classical libertarians over a 100 years ago. Do we really want to go back to those days? No restraints on pollution, or exploitation of workers, or influence in government; because if a company can gain a monopoly and buy off government, that is totally fine under libertarian rule; it is the reality of a such a system.

Obama deported 3 million!

More than any other prez besides Kim jong un, who reportedly deported 28 mil in 1 week by driving them himself across the border.

But come on 11 mil, where everyone got that number I don't know, won't be hard to do.

It costs $17,000.00 per just to get a refugee to the US.

How much would it cost to deport 1 illegal? Gas money to get them to their home border.

Stop importing people that can't pay to get there by themselves or support themselves, would offset deportation costs.

Triggered? I only see conservatives use that word. He debated. I understand conservatives must throw in words like 'triggered', 'SJW' and 'micro-aggression' to seem important, though.

check out these other ones.

Yep. And obviously nobody gives a rodent's derriere about Mexico, CLEARLY and SADLY, but can you imagine what it might be like for their government if millions of people cross the border to go back, and they do this within a week or a month or a short period of time? Because many of them would self-deport, as they are doing now.

Millions of people pouring into Mexico with no job, no home, and little money?

What if 11 million homeless people suddenly entered the U.S. in a week's time?

What a nightmare. Chaos and crime would rule the day.

I'm not at all surprised. I can't say that I think too highly of him at all and this is yet another reason why. The funniest thing about it all is that after he throws his little tirade, the reporter still manages to get him to admit that yes, they technically ARE illegal immigrants. Seriously, Gary, quit being an idiot and drop the political correctness. Better yet, just quit and go home.

I don't totally disagree with you, and I think its more complicated than just saying 'deport them all!', but at the same time, its hard to convince people to care about the consequences to Mexico when its rather clear that Mexico and its government doesn't give that same rat's backside about the consequences of the current illegal immigration into our own country.

no it really doesnt.

If you are in violation of our immigration laws, you are an illegal immigrant.

I know people who came here for work and had to leave so as to avoid breaking our laws.

I was just talking to a guy from Hawaii who had a big love of his life leave back to Russia. She was a professor and higly trained. She landed a dream job at a university in Hawaii. The school was in dire need of her services, but THE LAW IS THE LAW, so she had to leave.

I know a world class chef who came to NYC to work in insanely good hotels and restaurants, was higly needed here....but visas expired and he had to go back to Spain.

Why is it that a construction laborer can stay and they have to leave? Because he is Mexican?

The people I speak of were poor before, are now doing well after getting marketable skills....but are forced to leave while others can stay?

Why special treatment to people who make MY wage lower?

I take all those jobs people say Americans dont want. I would LOVE some of the construction jobs they have. They get them because they are willing to work for a slave wage for years

..something I cant do since my wife and kids are here and not in mexico. Because our cost of living is higher here so I cant put in 5 years of being slaved out until I catch a break like they do.

This type of argument from the left makes you guys lose credibility. It is not just or even legal.

Do things the right way. Why do I have to pay thousands of dollars, have sleepless nights ALONE, be separated from my family while our immigration paperwork is processed, while others get amnesty for crying about it long enough.

I cried like a bitch a couple times over it, I just got real and went back at it when I was done.

Is it emotionally difficult to be deported? Is it? Oh no. How sad.

I am sure they are the only ones to suffer and so deserve special treatment. Everyone else is a superman white person god who can get F-ed.

Done with this crap. If someone gets angry with me over the injustice of treating ILLEGAL immigrants as such I will get psychotic with them as I remember my 3 years of hell while trying to do things correctly for my immigrant family.

I get to say MY IMMIGRANT family. Everyone else has to say ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT family.

We earned that distinction. Not them.

What solution is that?

Ignore the laws? I'm just talking about following law as it exists, something that SHOULD have been done, but has been ignored.

You are talking about a major issue, yes. It will be, but it needs to happen. We cannot continue on like this.

We've been pitched and tried a number of "better solutions" and none of them have worked. Eventually, you have to suck it up and take the pain.

There was a family who immigrated here from the UK. They got legal status for the parents and because the children were minors, they had status from the parents. The parents built and run a very successful small business which employs a small staff of people, and they have been working for years to win legal status through the system for their children when the time comes for them to become legal adults.

Guess what?

The oldest came of age and there was no legal status. Her options were to stay illegally or self-deport to the UK where she had not lived since she was very young, 5 or 6.

She self-deported, and this was a girl who had very successful, tax-paying parents who were no drain at all, ever, on the system. They could not get legal status.

But illegals can get anything they want, and some here would continue to give them even more just 'cause they walked over the border. Meanwhile, people who do everything right can't catch a break. It's an insult.

His hair-trigger temper tantrum was weird. But, Gary Johnson gives me the creeps anyway, so it could just be my own tendency to recoil from him. He seems "off" to me.

Johnson has gone completely off the rails with the rest of the thought police.

Not only was it the most dramatic outrage I've seen since Trigglypuff, but he also tries to shame and crybully the reporter into submission.

He really has. I just can't believe what's going on. Its like we live in some alternate universe.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that this idiot is saying don't use the word illegal so we don't offend people who did something illegal.

He also makes no mention of all the actual terrible criminals that get through and keep coming back. These are the same people that are against things like Kate's law.

It makes me really angry that this piece of crap and his kind are defending this madness.

They're supposed to be for the people, wtf is going on.

Its so frustrating I am having a hard time articulating my thoughts here.....

ETA: I don't know what the heck happened up there.....

instead promoting the false narrative of border jumping monsters.

I don't know if that's a false narrative. I am pretty sure there have been some terrible people who have gotten through and done some terrible things.

They're not all bad, but their not all angels either.
