Seems that all those orange peels we throw away not only are a source of a nice new plastic, but the manufacture of this substance uses up CO2 gas that would otherwise pollute the atmosphere.

Pretty cool stuff. I like discoveries like this. The less we use crappy petrol and other chemical plastics, the better!

That's quite a co-incidence. I just got done squeezing orange juice and was thinking there must be something that the skins could be used for. I hope it takes off.

I eat my orange and other citrus peels or brew them in tea.

They are an acquired taste. Bitter but very fragrant. Also lots more Vitamin C and calcium in them than in the fruit.
