I enjoy when the religious, say they aren't religious.

I think all that really means is, they stopped going to church.

And instead keep it personal. Which is cool, don't get me wrong.

But how is it not religion? Nothing about religion says...

If you're scared go to church.

Your comment: "Atheism is a simple minded choice that bans all of it. It has all the ingredients of major malfunction. is pretty insulting. That said, I'm not offended or surprised by the comment. Especially considering where it came from. Not to mention, it isn't like I haven't taken pot shots at the opposing side.

Well at least it wasn't anything personal. And it is just an opinion and not a judgement.

But how is it not religion?

Does not doing something religiously mean commitment to regularity?

I can watch football religiously. Doesn't mean I worship the superbowl trophy.

So Christianity is a religion but people don't refer to me as religious.

And I feel it would be dishonest of me to claim I was.

You see?

Do you believe in and worship a personal god?

Do you have a particular system of faith and worship (even if it is your own)?

Is a relationship with God something you pursue with supreme importance?

Did you answered yes to one or more of these questions?

Looks like you're religious, by definition.
