Whats creepy is you can't see who you're talking to.

Thats a blessing and a curse.

Imo, You can't completely trust where a person is coming from without ever having seen them. On the other hand you have to direct your responses to their mind and not their appearance.

Unless they are pretending to be something they are not.

I have the deep satisfaction of knowing if people met me in the real world they wouldn't give me the time of day. i don't measure up, thank you very much.

Anyone remember the Dating Game on TV? "Contestants" were to pick from three prospects based on questions they asked to see if they were compatible. The show was popular because people gloated when it was (usually) a mismatch.

creepy is dressing up as a clown for sex
sniffing your toe nails while your asleep
painting the bedroom red because it reminds her of blood
collecting dolls heads
talking to your faeces

Creepy are Satanic shills in their mid 70s who do nothing but post b.s. to forums all day long, every day for years and years and who are bored out of their minds - but able to troll innocent users to sites like these and corner them and # with them for kicks.

You must still be young. To young people, the Old Ones are creepy, alright. But "Satanic"?

Once you become old you begin to notice younger people ignore you, just because you're old. Old is scary, young people are full of life, they don't want to be reminded of being old. I've witnessed so many grown kids whisk their parents off to 'rest' homes in a heart beat so they don't have to deal with old people issues.

Old people are people too. They just take longer to say and do things. Everything is worn out on old people, try to have a little patience, remember who they used to be. Or accuse them of being the devil, whatever.

We are all creepy to a point aren't we.

Sometimes I look up naked celebrities and I'm extra careful to make sure the wife never finds out.

Your title is misleading. Creepy isn't the word. It's wrong. Just like your thread!

The OPs definition of Creepy is lacking. I dunno there was only one person online that once creeped me out. Seriously bizarre discussions. Needless to say that didn't last long. I wish them the best of luck and would seriously recommend some sort of therapy. But to me this is no different than coming across someone who is really out there while passing the bus stop, or at the grocery store. We have choices to either get involved somehow or not, even when initially they came across one way then turn out to be completely different.


At least online it can be pretty anonymous unless one cares to reveal more details about oneself. Which has it's own pitfalls.
