Man I am telling you that immigration was never an issue. Its scab labor, disrespect of american tradition ect not the actual xenophobic explanation of the left. Thats why we don't see a Trump support backlash......the xenophobic thing was never there even though we see the left and its ACLU allied sort pals the Southern Poverty Law Center trying to "conjure" images or ALT Right and White as the big pusher of Trump.

Ex-pats and people on vacation aren't obviously working for the pharma industry either. It was the occupation that makes you valuable, not your country of origin.

Here is the thing......they always blamed the unions but really they always try to beat down wage gains and grumblings be it organized labor or not. And its really not the american contractors fault when he cant get his roofing crew hired for a big job when he has to pay comp and taxes ect and the Mexican crew comes in for much less and are never checked by any agency for anything not to mention taxes. Its as if ghost crews come in from no where.

Result american firms go out of fin business or work for dirt while Mexican crews send all their money home where they live large off the 8/1 peso to $ exchange rate. Thats not xenophobic is called getting screwed by your own government and your own wealthy american neighbor who's kid go out of going to the war while you on the other hand just buried your nephew killed in same and the same year you went out of business. .

Why does HE need to do it?

The idea is to create an environment where both economies can thrive. But government does not cause that to happen by doing anything itself except removing impediments to business. It's the people of the nations who do the real work of creating those conditions by simply taking advantage of improved opportunities and conditions.

Of course, all Trump can do is work to make sure those conditions exist in the US and part of that is by renegotiating NAFTA to make it better for the US. Another part is by enforcing immigration law on all levels so that illegals self deport.

We can then look at where the laws need to be worked on, maybe fixed up, but first, we have to see how they actually work.
