Okay. You could instead of making th entire the discussion about the miscommunication itself, make it about finally understanding your categorization I'm begging for (if you have one).

HASHTAG:
#killallwhitemen

Nuff said on any notion Straight White Men aren't under attack. I can go on, but if you lack the understanding instead please just click the "Nu-Nazi's" link in my sig. Herein I hope we can stay on point with how to even categorize what this "Alt-Right" "thing" supposedly even "is".

I'm truly trying to understand this noun.

There really is no miscommunication...it is pretty straight forward on what/who the Alt-Right is. For some reason or another, you are refusing to accept the definition of the Alt-Right...even when it is provided to you by Alt-Right sources.

No, I'm sorry...but white men aren't under attack. That is just laughable.

But the more and more you reveal about yourself...the more it seems like you fit squarely into the Alt-Right category, but for some reason refuse to accept it. You seem to share most of their beliefs....why do you seem reluctant to declare yourself Alt-Right?

Alt-Right is anyone who disagrees with the leftist progressive ideology.

No it's not... it's literally white supremacy and nationalism re-branding themselves.

Why do you associate white supremacy with nationalism?

is this a push t promote globalism as good and if you aren't, then you're racist?

So you still can't place this "Alt-Right" thing into a proper social group category (see my thread title if you're confused), other than to call it a "category"?

I think the alt right are just people who have woken up to what is going on. Who are against the establishment both left and right. Who have had too much shoved down their throats too fast and STILL believe in the constitution. Alt right is beginning to include more independents and some on the left. It is not something you can label and ascribe qualities to. It is an America that is fed up with the status quo.]

If that's what "Alt-Right" really is then sign me up for being first in line at the gallows..!

The alt-right is Alex Jones and his ilk. David Icke, Breitbart, Beck, Limbaugh, the nutters, the WBC, the Agenda-21 nail-biters, the people who think FEMA camps are for rounding us all up and killing us or 're-educating' us. The ones who insist that democratic socialists (and democrats in general) are "Commies!" ---- those people. If the shoe fits, you're in the club.

So basically conspiracy theorists, republicans, anti-communists, and anti-PC people all lump in together under this new "Alt-Right" "category". RIGHT??

Whoops: I forgot to add Trump supporters. Oh, and actual white supremacists.

Just as bad ?

Yes - the untoward behavior of BLM bullies and "alt-right" trolls and Trump supporting skinheads....They are all equally destructive, and counter-productive, regressive knuckle-dragging losers.

Are You insane ?
Nope, I'm a liberal, educated adult. A bright grown-up, who thinks that the gutter-behavior (ghetto-behavior) has gotten way too much attention and gotten away with FAR too much hate speech.

HATE SPEECH is not okay. I don't care how "anonymous" people think they are. Getting one's kicks by offending everyone you can possibly offend except one's own uninformed, low-class, low-info speaks for itself.

"Freedom of speech" does not mean people can collectively make trouble being as outrageously inappropriate as possible. Alt-right is WBC without the Jesus part.

Cyber terrorism. Rabble-rousing. Disinformation spewers. Antagonists. Their only goal is to be as disruptive as possible.
That's all they are capable of doing. Like nine-year-olds with typing skills.

The kind of people who actually dwell in basements and don't normally go outside. They learned to type. Now they just trash the place. The internet has been overrun with them. That's why so many people don't know which sites are decent resources for information, and which are Alex Jones's types.

Edit to fix format and typos

What Is The “Alt-Right”? A Guide To The White Nationalist Movement Now Leading Conservative Media

Richard Spencer, The Alt-Right’s Racist Founder

The New Yorker reported that the term “alt-right” was coined by white nationalist Richard Spencer, who “described the movement in December as ‘an ideology around identity, European identity.’” The Anti-Defamation League described Spencer as “a symbol of a new generation of intellectual white supremacists” who “runs a variety of ventures that promote racist ideology.”

Spencer has said, “There are races who, on average, are going to be superior.”

Spencer is also the president of the National Policy Institute, a white nationalist “think tank” that held an event at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., this March focused on Trump. He told the local CBS affiliate that Trump is “energizing” the white nationalist movement and argued, “He's fighting for us. He's saying we're going to be great again. We're going to win again. And there's this implicit identity to this. There's this implicit nationalism.”

Spencer founded the white nationalist websites Alternative Right and Radix Journal. One writer at Alternative Right wrote that “low-IQ Mexican immigration is the greatest threat to America,” and that “we should be heartened that white teenage girls aren’t passing themselves around in black neighborhoods.”

This is from your OP.

So please, somebody, articulate for me & everyone (via definitions) how do we even classify what this "Alt-Right" thing even is (i.e. a movement, or political party, or ideology, or etc).

Many people have done this for you...you refuse to accept it.

You seem to like to throw the SJW label around for any Hillary supporter...would you care to "categorize" that term for everyone?

I find it hilarious that you are crying about people using Alt-Right, a term coined by the Alt-Right movement and has a loose but defined set of ideologies....but you are fine calling everyone that disagrees with you a SJW.

Like I said, the more and more you reveal about yourself, the more you fit squarely in the Alt-Right category. For example, now you are just purely trolling...which is something the Alt-Right prides themselves on.

False.
I barely even mentioned Hillary / Trump directly all summer (since my return following years of absence) until the past month.

That post is just beautiful...and of course the OP reads it and doesn't understand it.

I particularly like this part.

Has the far-right just come to be composed of weak people? Are people like me (and hell, Paul Ryan for that matter) just blind? Or maybe, just maybe, there's been a whole lot of effort spent convincing a group of people that they're victims of every single minority under the sun even as they are part of the overwhelmingly dominant social group and among the least credible claimaints to victimhood on the planet.

The big difference between you and those you describe is responsibility.

Whatever your situation in life is, you, and other sane members of society, have taken responsibility for that situation. Those on the far right and the Alt-Right, that instead blame minorities for all their woes in life, do not take responsibility for their own situation in life.

Really --- how many of you on this thread are old enough to remember the original alt.topic sites? Back in the early 90s?

"alt" has forever been a moniker for the "alternative" websites.

Newsgroups are often arranged into hierarchies, theoretically making it simpler to find related groups. The term top-level hierarchy refers to the hierarchy defined by the prefix before the first dot.

The most commonly known hierarchies are the Usenet hierarchies. So for instance newsgroup rec.arts.sf.starwars.games would be in the rec.* top-level Usenet hierarchy, where the asterisk (*) is defined as a wildcard character. There were seven original major hierarchies of Usenet newsgroups, known as the "Big 7":

comp.* — Discussion of computer-related topics
news.* — Discussion of Usenet itself
sci.* — Discussion of scientific subjects
rec.* — Discussion of recreational activities (e.g. games and hobbies)
soc.* — Socialising and discussion of social issues.
talk.* — Discussion of contentious issues such as religion and politics.
misc.* — Miscellaneous discussion—anything which does not fit in the other hierarchies.
These were all created in the Great Renaming of 1986–1987, before which all of these newsgroups were in the net.* hierarchy. At that time there was a great controversy over what newsgroups should be allowed. Among those that the Usenet cabal [see the prefixes above] did not allow were those concerning recipes, recreational drug use, and sex.

This situation resulted in the creation of an alt.* (short for "alternative") Usenet hierarchy, under which these groups would be allowed. Over time, the laxness of rules on newsgroup creation in alt.* compared to the Big 7 meant that many new topics could, given time, gain enough popularity to get a Big 7 newsgroup. There was a rapid growth of alt.* as a result, and the trend continues to this day. Because of the anarchistic nature with which the groups sprang up, some jokingly referred to ALT standing for "Anarchists, Lunatics and Terrorists" (a backronym).

Not so jokey now, though. Anarchists, Lunatics and Terrorists --- it was a suitable way to explain the acronym.
The people who were moderated off of the other sites --- alt.* was especially for people who were forced underground because of the controversial nature of their interests.

Which would include ATS. It could also include "alternative lifestyles" such as LGBTQ. No?

Or, to categorize "Alt-Right", we should go by Usenet standards?

Kali's credibility isn't going anywhere, dude.

And your "film" was banned by youtube. That makes you an alt-right troll.

Usenet standards is where the "alt" originated. It has now been hijacked by internet hacks and trolls.

ATS is almost down there, but not quite. Because people like me, theantediluvian, Kali74, KrazySh0t, and others refuse to go away.

We - the educated free-thinking, thoughtful, aware adults -- we, who take the time to look at all sides and present EVIDENCE --- WE and the MODS are who is keeping ATS's head above the murky slime where the alt-right ferments and stinks up the whole place.

Yes, Alex Jones is alt-right. So are you.
So, now you know.

Like I said before, you are a confusing individual. Many people have giving you very specific definitions of what the Alt-Right is.

Now you are asking what "social group category" to place the Alt-Right in. I don't even know what "social group category" means. Could you give us a definition of that? Could you provide a list of acceptable "social group categories" that you will accept as a valid answer?

It seems to me that you have a pre-conceived answer that you were hoping for, and you aren't getting it. Instead you are getting factual answers provided to you by several people, using the Alt-Right's own definition of who they are to answer the question you asked in the OP. But it isn't the answer you were expecting when you created this thread, so you are refusing to accept it.

False. I barely even mentioned Hillary / Trump directly all summer until the past month.

And how many times have you labeled people SJW in the past week?

Can you give me the "social group category" that a SJW is?

I didn't link youtube. I inked archive.org. You dont even make any sense with whatever you're trying to say there.

Anyways, can you categorize what this alt-right thing is (see thread title)?? The more, the longer the posts you guys make while dodging the issue the more it proves this whole thing really is just a Label & Smear Campaign (L&SC) against anti-PC / anti-Hillary types.

This thread isn't about SJW's. Until one of you FINALLY answer the punchline I wont stray off topic on purpose.
