black pools form cascading water
shimmering in the light of day
the tunnel has ended, daylight descends
my mind is finding its way

the dark abyss of endless sorrow
a prisoner for so long
im staring at the sunshine
hearing the mountain song

she glides among the fields of fern
around the starry pine
the flowing wraps of a long white gown
freezes her into time

i stare at her reflection within the crystal pool
how perfect, how kind, she gazes at a fool

suddenly i realize

the pool fragments her face

no matter the amount of love i feel
i can never enter this place

fore i am just the dreamer
who see's her in my sleep
and she is just an image
i pray my mind will keep

It is through the darkness that we sometimes find the light.

I really loved your poem!

Hauntingly deep and decisive.

Wow-I think I know what you are looking for-and I think you find her-because you want to.

I don't often comment in the short stories section, never quite knowing what to say, there's only so many times you can say to people, "Wow! I loved it!"

But.. I really reeeeally liked your poem! Thank you so much for sharing it
