So when your attempt at demonizing a man for making a terrible mistake back in the 40's that he publicly owned up to on more than one occasion and expressed deep regret for does not wash, you simply resort to spewing vitriol instead. Classy.
Now tell us how Trump is a white supremacist racist.

You cant just redefine words to suit your immediate political agenda.
In 1997, Byrd told an interviewer he would encourage young people to become involved in politics but also warned, "Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena."[22

You need to do your homework. He WAS a proud member. We in WV tried everything we could to get rid of him!

Just wait until this is brought to the attention of Black Lives Matter, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the NAACP. Hillary Clinton will catch hell! (They'll all still vote for her though. It's the Stockholm Syndrome at work.)
Democrat United States Senator Robert C. Byrd was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s, rising to the title of Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of his local chapter. After leaving the group, Byrd spoke in favor of the Klan during his early political career. Though he claimed to have left the organization in 1943, Byrd wrote a letter in 1946 to the group's Imperial Wizard stating "The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia." Byrd attempted to explain or defend his former membership in the Klan in his 1958 U.S. Senate campaign when he was 41 years old.[1]

voting for Hillary is not Stockholm syndrome....might want to look up that definition....it applies to people that have been under extreme psychological stress when they have been held hostage.
