So in other words they were hosed down with pepper spray while in the "free speech zone" exercising their right to freedom of speech.

Only in Dubya's America....

Another thing, he kept preaching God Bless this God Bless that, is this how his God would handle protesters?

I watched cspan the whole way through, without bias!

Can't say that for your thread.

If I was being inaugerated or whatever else, I wouldn't little buggers coming in there to ruin my day either.

You have a right to free speech and he has a right not to be verbally abused and harrassed.

What a day!

I guess good or bad depends on your level of freedom now!

I can't believe you just said that.

Firstly, it's not *his* inauguration. Its a ceremony about the continuation of Democracy and is in the name of the people.

The right to free speech and free assembly cant be squashed because you as inconvenienced. If you don't want protestors then don't make enemies.

I suppose you'd rather have an untouchable Government.

You're forgetting he works for us

This thread is not representative of the inauguration. Yes there were some protesters but their numbers were small. The vast number of people there were supporters of the President or at least respectful of our democratic process.

The First Lady was not available for comment.

She did send us a signed photo though.

No I didn't forget that. I know very well he works for the people.

And on that note, I repeat, he too has rights to free speech and freedom from persecution and the right not to be harrassed and assaulted.
