No Safety Programs For Alien Starcraft?

In our world, certain events invoke safety programs.

Oil refinery explosions and loss of life resulted in process safety management.

The loss of 16 United States submarines during peace years lead to the Navy creating the SUBSAFE program.

On the other hand, being stealthy has its own set of rules.

Here is a list of items inconsistent with the safe operation of a starcraft when not superseded by secret operations.

One: If on a secret mission to earth, with no hope of being rescued, why have running lights on while flying about?

Two: I assume alien governments, or smugglers, have great costs invested in their crew, cargo, and craft. Why are crashed UFOs never salvaged or crews rescued. Nobody ever got left behind in Stargate. At least usually nobody important.

Three: Crashing UFOs never send out a rescue beacon or distress call?

Four: UFOs do not use radio or any form of communication to report back? Someone uploading their pictures of crop circles to galactic Twitter? Maybe earth is in a galactic wireless dead zone. Bummer.

Five: I would think craft on the surface of the earth would set up a defensive boundary? Or a boundary to keep junior crew from entering into a radiation / venting area outside the haul. What about smoking areas?

Six: Before take off, wouldn't they dump their sanitary tanks and garbage. Wouldn't a crashed UFO leave a sanitary mess. No reports of alien poop at Roswell.

Seven: Upon a UFO crash, and alien bodies and parts everywhere, wouldn't that contaminate the earth with alien microbiology?

Eight: Nobody ever draws safety symbols in their depiction of UFOs. There is no galactic requirements or standardization for safety symbols? No requirements for posting the hazardous chemicals aboard? Maybe earth is more advanced in its requirements for safety?

Nine: UFOs don't use weather or avoidance radar when flying about. They usual have their running light on?

Ten: Is there a galactic AAA for stranded UFOs. What do you do after a night of crop circles, probing the locals, and cow mutilations, and your old UFO will not start? Are there galactic police to regulate that stated above.

Eleven: Spacecraft in Star Track are always leaving trace particles. Wouldn't trace particles play havoc with the military, Astronomers, and civilian radiation detection.

Not part of the list. Wonder if any aliens are on ATS to spread propaganda. The greys trashing the white space aliens. The white space aliens posting how evil the greys are.

Yes. I have often wondered about the need for UFOs to be lit up with lights.

Mostly I wonder why people taking photos or filming them just cannot focus the bloody camera. It's either incompetence, or....

There are lots of planes in Earth's skies, so you might want to have lights so the planes can see you and to avoid a collision.

Stargate is fiction. In real life we had no plans to rescue stranded astronauts on the moon. When the Apollo 11 crew broke off the ignition switch, if they hadn't figured out a way to start the ascent, they would have died on the moon.

Roswell is the only one I'm familiar with and it was a balloon, there was no need for a distress call.

Are you equating "UFO" with "alien spacecraft"? Becuase it's supposed to mean "unidentified flying object". Most UFOs turn out to be either manmade objects, astronomical objects, illusions or hoaxes, though some haven't been solved, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're alien. This applies to the rest of your questions too.

I really don't like how people use UFO and spaceship in a way that is interchangeable. A strange light in the sky does not mean a intelligently operated space craft.

The point of the post, some of our behaviour to minimize risk would have parallels with the aliens. The USA has not lost one submarine that was part of the SUBSAFE program. That includes the USS San Francisco that hit an underwater mountain head on.

If there were alien spaceships using running lights, then I would assume they would also have weather radar and avoidance radar activated. Something that would even give more evidence of alien craft .

All the crashes people take as alien spaceships are from small craft. Only crews of two or three. Craft with not enough room for life support or supplies for a journey hundreds of years long. Or big enough to house the energy needed for warp drive. There fore, a larger support craft would be required and near by. There is an old bit of wisdom in the off road world, don't go alone.

Our space missions are expensive and push the limits of our abilities. Almost impossible to have rescue teams standing by. The same is not true of our military, or maybe even the international space station.

Established mission critical space faring beings are going to have equipment and programs in place to minimize loss of life, cost, and maximize mission capabilities. This should make their behaviour more predictable if they visit earth. Also outlines how ridiculous the reported alleged encounters are.

Especially when people think the earth is a hub of alien activity.

The Shag Harbor incident claims that a second ufo did come to rescue of another.

Not the best case imo, but it has a real chance. Unfortunately all the witnesses who were in the know refused to come forward and give their identity. Kudos to Chris Styles for tracking them down and getting what he could from them.
