Tonight might just be the last show The Tragically Hip will ever play.... People from all over the country will gather to hear their last songs, but we all hope this will not be the last performance ever!

Gord Downie was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and it hit everyone really hard...

This concert will be shown all over TV, in movie theatres...and in several different locations all around Toronto

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gordie and his family.

We can only selfishly hope this won't be the last we see of The Tragically Hip

Arguably one of the greatest bands in the history of our country

I'm royally pissed that I wasn't able to watch it last night, so I'm hoping that I can find the entire concert somewhere on the internet.

The Tragically Hip have always been one of my all-time favourite bands. I've seen them live four times over the years, the best one was at an outdoor concert in the 90's... thousands of people dancing and singing to their music like there was no tomorrow.

The first time I saw the Hip was actually at a bar in Winnipeg way back in the 80's when they were still trying to make a name for themselves.

Gordie brought out onto the stage a small hibachi bbq, cooked up some hotdogs, and started tossing them at the audience... everyone loved it ! But the bar manager got so pissed at them that they were banned from ever playing at that bar ever again.

They were crazy mothers back in those early days !

Bwahahahaha.

Stupid bar manager had no idea that he just threw away the chance to draw in mega future revenues for his bar...
