Rules are for children

Rules are for children to teach them wrong from right,
and guilt with shame guides them to choose wisely.
Yet not forget they are just children in a world they
do not yet grasp, and then we blame them for their choices in life.

How will a child know right from wrong, when they have nothing
to look up upon. When they see their old do nothing but
demand. If they arent taught right from wrong how will they
know to chose wisely when they never have been wrong.
