Surprised no one mentioned Soundgarden..

Broke up at their peak, which is okay I guess...but they wasted a lot of potentially good years of creativity. Their come back album was sadly sh#.

I understand no one is going to remember these bands, but my pick would be at the drive in (only 2 proper albums) and also the blood brothers (4 albums). Not counting ep's. What's crazy is both bands had just reached the pinnacle of their careers and went from underground to mainstream. And both bands instantly quit once achieving mainstream success with their lastest album.

One band stands head and shoulder above all others for breaking up to soon.


They where together for only 2 years ( 1966-68 ) and made in that time 4 bostin albums.

I thought they split because Chris Cornell broke his voice box? Yea, they were at their peak and stood out from the grunge scene.
