Hm so I went to a meeting and was put off somewhat by the use of the phrase "safe space" which I oppose. It was a writers meeting/workshop type thing. I can't say I care for the other people's writing. Not serious at all. Though admittedly the idea overall wasn't. Still they wrote something and maybe that's better than no writing(which I did).

Yeah I kinda thought that too but still figured a drunk elf fit nicely. LOL

One of my favorite classes was a creative writing class I took in summer school one year (yeah I was the weird kid that willingly signed up for more school). I made a friend then that is still the best friend I have in the world!!!!!

It does fit nicely! Just the symbolism is definitely there. Looks like something that would be hidden in a Disney movie or other children's movie.

I am in a creative writing class/workshop. The meeting today was for a club. Er, here's the one thing I've written so far for it(with minor changes from the original). Signing up for more school though! Crazy, haha. It's good though for that exact purpose. To make new friends.

Day upon day of calculated loss of consciousness beneath a sky was filled with a golden orb that would fade away into the depths of the night. Not out of celebration nor depression did we seek out the path of darkness, but out of the company of one another beyond the structures and laws of civilization in the wilderness, as wild men. Barbarians with hair going down and war drums beating. Persecuted within the walls of the city by those unlike us who wished violence and death upon us so we dwelled past the lines of pine and oak by the tracks wasting away as pagans degenerating into a lesser state of humanity. Hours in darkness stumbling away into our shelters unconscious to fall into a dreamland before the waking day.

Lamb is a fatty meat. It is great marinade, but usually I just roll it in Kalamata EVO then seacon it with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. I like to serve it with sause. Mint sause is my favorite

I might change parts of it. But I am terrible at editing. The only way I know to change a writing is by making a new one altogether! Thank you though. It was to be(and is) a 5 sentence piece about a place we've been to extensively so I described my hometown.

Jess, I just loved your butterfly story! I remember after my Dad passed away, a butterfly kept landing on me.
You cracked me up when you said you couldn't cook water so you wouldn't attempt lamb. Ahahaha!

Rider, YUM, that meal looked delicious. I never thought to add pistachios to my carrots, only brown sugar and butter and maybe parsley. I'll have to get some pistachios this week! I haven't had lamb in many, many years. The only way I can eat it is with mint jelly. I'm surprised you aren't a chef, your meals always look so delicious and nicely presented!

Fishy, ramble anytime you want, I love what you have to say! Oh I cry at good and bad things. My Husband still laughs at me when I cry after some tear jerker movie. He says, "It's only a movie." I say, "It's life, that really happens!" If it's a true movie, well...no explanation needed there.

I remember one night looking through ATS and I stumbled upon a thread, Food Porn, and I was hungry so naturally I looked at it while I couldn't really eat(around 1-3 in the morning).
