Caught under the arm! Yes lol. Tha happens to me sometimes.

My hairs curly and forms ringlettes with gold highlights during the summer here and there. Totally different from brit's. So rest assured were two seperate people.

Its a toss up who has better hair though. Probably me.

Good afternoon all!

Well I just had an enlightening moment. A kid i used to train MMA at the gym with, was just in our local paper for winning his comeback fight.
He had intestinal cancer and ended up having to take 2 years off from fight training and endure 20 surgeries.
Thats a long time when it comes to the sport now a days.
Well after a 2 year hiatus, he went back to training, opened up a gym, and ended up winning his fight on Saturday night.

This inspired me to get back in the cage. I just picked up the phone and gave him a call, asked if he remembered me from the old gym and congratulated him on his win. I told him how Ive been out of training for the better part of 5 years now, smoke cigs, and have a hi stress job. He said to me, "Jason, if I can do it, you can to." And he's right. The only person thats been holding myself back, is me. So I asked if he offers private classes and booked the matt for Saturday morning. Im gonna commit to a 3 month membership so it forces me to go. I still have all the basic mechanics down - punches, kickes, jiu jitsu... Its just gonna be a matter of polishing those skills back up.
With a little luck, I can be back in shape again by Christmas. And if all goes well, this time next year I can be back in the cage...unless I get broken lol.
Heres hoping at least!

What an inspiring story! How are you this evening Jason?

I wrote a little 2-lined rhyme a couple of weeks ago when I felt upset and awkward about my occasional overexcited chatty outbursts, which I ended up putting into my signature, haha. (I would also like to thank the wonderful! Amazing! Elfie One! Night Star! For lending me her ear and chatting to me during my emotional moment)

This morning, while I attempt to not be so sleepy, I thought that I would add to it and round it out and share it.

A deathly silence falls upon me
As realisation throws me to the floor
A whispering voice asks knowingly
"And you never wondered this before?"

It seems I am afflicted most dire
Not with ill health or disease
But oftentimes my words transpire
My voice eternal upon fair breeze

I stop myself and at last I think
I at last use my mind my sense
My words do bring me to the brink
With abrupt vibrancy most intense

So I speak with you O Shed friends
And mystical creatures of the realm
As my hyperactivity transcends
I do not seek to overwhelm

Now let us go forth on adventure
Let us go forth and explore
We could search for buried treasure
Or, there's the pixie bar... indoors!

Mac that is just awesome, for him AND you!!! Thank you for sharing your story! I love to watch MMA!! About as close as I will ever get is when Paul taught Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate, he is a 3rd degree black belt. It is an amazing sport to watch and participate it in. I love anything that gives little people power! LOL Good luck Mac! That sounds awesome!
