This sad news has left me feeling numb.

Always had good banter with Woody and he was very informative with his views and opinions. He will be greatly missed by us all i am sure.

Very sad news.. rest in peace woody.

So sorry for his family and for Woody himself. About the only plus is that he isn't suffering anymore. I will genuinely miss him here. He had a gift for not taking threads and posts personally and for useful insight and integration. You could genuinely argue with Woody about a topic and remain perfectly civil throughout, a true gent.

RIP Woody, i will miss you.

Oh dear that is very shocking. I didn't realise how close the end was.

I pay tribute to a very sincere and compassionate free spirit.

I remember him announcing that he was thinking of stopping treatment to let nature take its course. I posted a comment and included a personal motto of mine: Live as long as you can and die when you can't help it

I guess he couldn't help it.

I don't really have the words, but this post expresses exactly what I used to think. I had to check his avatar to know who he was as I am very bad with names. But as soon as I saw it, I was really sad reading he has passed on, especially after sharing his journey with us. My deepest sympathies with the family.

I am saddened to hear this. I knew the time was short and as always whenever these things happen. Thought we'd have longer than than we actually had.

Prayers go out to the surviving family, close friends and loved ones.

It's so sad when I see those pictures.. Finally a face to the name.
I always imagined woody to be an older gentlemen as he was so eloquent.. Sad when a young man passes.

Well this sucks

No more beautiful blue owl, so sad and we will miss him very much. Brave guy our thoughts go out to his family and hope he passed peacefully.
