Breaking up isn't easy. Are there any songs that you think describe the emotions involved exceptionally well?

There is one song that stands out in this genre to me. I think "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette is a classic. The song sounds like what a real phone call after a breakup often would sound like. I don't know of any other song that has that quality.

I wasn't really upset at the time, more angry because of events that had happened. I "felt" the words in the song, not the ummm, "head" bit.. but every other word. It's a long story... Anyway

Hey! I actually like that song

Eh, I can listen to anything. 50s one moment, heavy metal the next, dance, pop, angry incoherent screeching, 90s music holds my heart though. I love most 90s music.

if I want to cry I either listened to one of my exes sing in her music group.
Or I listened to the others favorite songs I played for them..
my most violent ex.. This was our song:
This particular one is especially good at crying cause it talks about when your most down she and her love will save you.. But shes gone and shes the reason you hurt so bad.. Yea...

and then play tech nine psycho bia.... And then some soul healing Sia

You keep calling me
On the telephone
You say you're all alone
Well that's real sad
And you keep leavin'
Notes stuck on my door
Guess you're hungry for some more
Girl that's too bad

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet
No I ain't that lonely yet
After what you put me through
Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Once there was this
Spider in my bed
I got caught up in her web
Of love and lies
She put her chains
Around my heart and soul
Never to let go
Oh but I survived

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet
No I ain't that lonely yet
After what you put me through
Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Nothing left you can do to try and bring me back
Cuz everything you do
Just brings me down, oh yeah and I

I ain't that lonely yet
No I ain't that lonely yet
After what you put me through
Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet
No I ain't that lonely yet
After what you put me through
Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Cuz I ain't that lonely yet
No I ain't that lonely yet
After what you put me through
Oh I ain't that lonely yet

Catharsis can be difficult. It takes extreme measures sometimes.

Would you consider writing a short story like...

"A day in the life of Reverbs and his ex"

I am sorry, but you have piqued my interest.
