It's an annual event if I am not mistaken. It's Native American Indian Day's running of the horses in Browning, Montana on The Blackfeet reservation.

So somebody did leave the gate open on purpose.

Ugh... I find myself anxious watching that- I am always afraid of loping on asphalt, because of the risk of the horse slipping.

+1 here. Only a moron rides on the road or forces horses to do such a thing.

There must be a lot of crap left on the road afterwards. And if I had to drive on it, you can bet every pile would be on the side I was driving on, and it would smell terrible.

For anybody wondering about my signature, I live in a small town where there's several people that have and ride horses. I always see them walking on the side of the road in the grass as I'm driving by, but there's always a big pile of horse poop in my lane, no matter what side they were riding on. If it's not in the road, then it's in the yard by the road when I have to mow grass. Now that DOES stink something terrible if you run over it.
