My dear god. I don't think I've ever been so envious. What a score. Which model exactly is it? I would like to go browsing.

Gotta turn the amp up to eleven with a git like that! Always nice to get new gear.

Its a DK1. I kinda collect guitars (13) and saw this with the paint and had to have. They offer those skulls on the MIJ jacksons as well. Was told it was a custom order. Don't think so. There was a bit of rust starting on the hardware but it cleaned up nice. Plays amazing = real quality guitar.

Bbarkow,

Yes it is a bolt on neck, but I cannot find anyone who has the experience necessary to perform the task, without asking for a kidney in exchange!

I am a faIrly astute chap, but I would not want to attempt it myself having never done it before.

Frets.com has a ton of information and instructions (with pictures) to do almost any repair. Even if you don't end up doing the work yourself, it's a great resource.

That's a great resource, but it focuses mostly on acoustic guitars, and six strings more than anything else. The construction of an electric bass guitar is all heavier and calibrated for the massive tensions produced by those fat, heavy strings. I am not sure that basing any approach I might make to doing work on my bass, on the information on that particular forum, will produce an effect which works well for my bass. All I can say is, I am damned glad it is not a through neck, five piece neck. Getting one of those sorted would be a mortgage job I think! Hehe!

Shes very versatile with an 18 volt system. Intensely deep and focused lows. Sweet and rounded highs. She can do metal better than most ibanezes, gibsons etc. Plus the 18 volt system can push around and bully most amp heads if you wanted to.

If you were here my man. Id put her in your hands and tell you to take her for a spin.

Nice stuff guys.

I don't have any glam pics of my gear, lol, I do have pics tho.

an old Hofner acoustic with a Fishman I put in.

A 99' Am stand strat, hard tail, my fav.

epi LP stand with a Duncan jazz and a DiMarzio Tone Zone replacing the stock hummers

J&W Bros 335 clone, very nice and versitile

a parts tele my friend and collaborator gave me when I went to japan and visited him. just a killer guitar, stressed body.

a no name fender jazz bass clone

Roland E-09 keyboard

I have a Hartke combo bass amp, 30W? and a fender frontman for amps (which i never use)

I do home recordings and use Line6 stuff. A UX-2 with all the extras.

70 amp heads, 13 cabs, mics, stomps, a ton of stuff I never played with, all digital.

Thanks, they work.

Martin would be my pick and a Gibson 335 would be great to have, but I don't really need them.

I'd sound just as crappy! lol! With less money in my pocket!

I had a 76' tele I bought new and had a P-90 from my 67' Les Paul Custom put in and it kicks my ass that I gave it up when I moved here in 2001.

But I've always been a fender guy.

Anyone have a link to some of their tunes?
