Chicago’s police review board has released videos relating to the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Paul O’Neal as he fled a traffic stop.
O’Neal, 18, was shot in the back on July 28, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office told Heavy. Police say O’Neal was in a stolen Jaguar. The Chicago police superintendent took the unusual step of suspending the police powers of the three police officers who fired their weapons. The body camera on the officer who fired the fatal shooting was not working, but videos from other officers’ cameras captured events leading up it.
Chicago police, in a nationwide conference call and bulletin, warned of "civil unrest" and potential violence against cops following the department's anticipated release of video related to an incident in which a black man was fatally shot in the back, two law enforcement officials said Friday.

Between 40 and 60 thugs shoot each other in Chicago every weekend and they expect outrage over a cop shooting Chicago's lone unarmed car thief? I think not.

The statistics for 2016 make that clear. As of Tuesday afternoon: 377 homicide victims, 2,307 people shot. At that pace, Chicago is on track to easily surpass its 2015 totals of 2,980 people shot and 490 homicides.

He was not armed..And I find it convenient that officer that fired the fatal shots at the time his body cam happen to "malfunction",or wasn't turned on.

Shooting an unarmed man in the back used to be considered a cowardly act in America. Well, until the police started doing it...
Tragic as it may be the officers were justified in opening fire after he almost pancaked 2 of them...
Police cannot legally shoot fleeing suspects unless they pose a threat to an officer's life or unless the officer has a good-faith belief the suspect poses a substantial danger to the public.
And department policy prohibits firing into a "moving vehicle when the vehicle is the only force used against the sworn member or another person."
