Hey all, I figure this might be the place to ask.

I'm trying to find some software capable of simulating various jet-engine designs. The catch is, it has to be able to accept autocad or similar input for the simulation. I realize there is a lot of very expensive and/or custom software in use at places like GE, etc. for turbine simulation, but I was wondering if any of you have come across any open-source or university projects that would fall under this category.

Thanks in advance.

Why do you need software capable of simulating jet engines?

For fun?...

For work?...

Wanna try out this idea I have.. specifically dealing with the compressor portion of the engine, but all an interesting fan-blade idea I have as well.

Well seeing some of the US Government groups I've had dealings with in the past, I'm pretty sure I don't have to worry about the spooks showing up at my door.. they already know who's side I'm on
