Can you back that statement up with video showing extreme examples of NPD by Hillary Clinton. I could fill a page with Trump video clips and quotes. Just putting it in perspective....

You really think you could match Obama clips and quotes to Trump? You're aware of the difference between a clinical NPD and strong confidence, right? Just saying... NPD is pretty serious-- not as easy as saying "I know you are, but what am I." Did you watch those two clips? You know that's barely a scratch of the wealth of NPD evidence that exists out there for Trump?

I would recommend you put your efforts to truth rather than defend a guy who's a bit beyond defense.

Regardless of the quick rebuttals SZ, I found your post to be a reasonable presentation of some of the important things we should consider about the present candidate. And certainly we should consider Clinton with the same set of goggles. But for now, since this thread is about Trump, I think that only those who also resound with these traits would find his actions and words normal.

Hey, Terry, thanks. I completely agree Clinton should be scrutinized also.

I'll just say, I tried a YouTube search just now of "Obama narcissist" and "Clinton narcissist" and I couldn't find a single clip of Obama or Hillary displaying Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I found 0. I just laid out 2 clips (out of who knows how many), of Trump repeatedly displaying signs of this real mental disorder.

For all these rebuttals, I'd like to see something with actual weight... I'm completely open to it, but it has to be intelligent.

More political noise.. .but this time is a bit different.

As far as obvious, clinical mental illness (as opposed to being the usual narcissistic imbeciles), I don't remember any candidate who sets off the "insane demagogue" alarms like Trump does. He's too close to the villain in the King book, The Dead Zone.

The trouble is, many of his supporters know he's a defective buffoon, but they hate the entrenched establishment so much, they're willing to risk it just to send a middle finger to the elite... though why they'd trust a corrupt, insane elite to fight the elite escapes me.

You're missing something. What they're tired of is the big government left and the broken promises of the Republicans who promised to put a stop to it and then did nothing.

They didn't go for Sanders because he's just as crazy as Trump is AND he's a dirty socialist. With choices like that, it makes at least a little sense why people who might ordinarily vote establishment Republican would just throw up their hands and go with Trump. The attitude seems to be "Why not?"

While Trump is probably a lot more dangerous than Obama, it needs to be pointed out that it's not like Obama hasn't done a MASSIVE amount of damage to this country. Obama is the reason Trump even had an opening. He just destabilized the world that much.

Well, you remembered something no professional psychologist or psychiatrist would have ever said. Trump has NPD. Everyone who has been trained in psychological assessment can see it. All you bitching about "no professional would attempt to diagnose someone they've never met" are simply WRONG.

YOU ARE WRONG.

It happens every day. Informants, observation, and documentation are all that is required. Trump is all over the place, he has no handlers, and when he speaks he is being himself. It's impossible to brush it off as "armchair half-bit shrinks."

You all are really getting pathetic. It's almost funny. Except it isn't.

The media is merely the microphone and camera for the man. Trump displays severe traits of NPD in EVERY interview. Not "sometimes", not "most", not "many", but .... EVERY interview, Donald displays textbook NPD.

By watching his kids speak at the convention I would say no way to NPD. Real narcissists have messed up kids that have been victims of narcissistic abuse. No evidence of that in his children at all and trust me I have seen it up close.

That is your interpretation of this vid? Candidates are always their best salesman although not their only salesman.

What you are seeing in this vid is how folks speak during high stake business deals.

Really? Do you think this has not been done, cav?

There have been "checklists" developed for every type of neurosis, psychosis, personality disorder, and mental health profile that exists.

Here, this guy did the work for you -
watch it. All the way through. Learn how to tell what the red flags are.

It might upset you, so put on your best emotional armor, settle back, and just watch. Take notes if you like. You'll learn a lot, I promise. IF YOU WATCH IT AND THINK ABOUT IT.

Or don't. Entirely up to you, of course, whether you want to know more about psychosis and diagnosis and how that all works.

AND I'M NOT referring to the stupid quizlet things all over the place. I'm talking about professional documentation and tools.
If you want to know what superhero you are, go find a quiz on Facebook or something.

But if you want to know how diagnostics work, then watch this and take it seriously.

No, storm. While every president will have an element of self-confidence and a yearning to lead (as would any person throwing their hat in the ring), very few of them have been certifiably as unfit as Trump is.

And this thread is about Trump. Not Obama.
Why does everyone keep bringing up Obama? Trump is not Obama.

Let's talk about the fact that here in this thread we have a bunch of half-bit armchair shrinks diagnosing a person with a disorder even though he has never been examined and interviewed. Any respectable professional with a degree on matters such as these wouldn't dream of doing such a thing, but here we see a bunch of rank amatuers with Google doing so. Perhaps that is the real issue here?

I agree.
This is completely ridiculous.

What standard are you using to judge he is unfit?
Just your own opinion?

Actually, there are people in this thread - including at least one subject matter expert - who know quite a lot about psychopathic behavior. It's you all who don't have a clue who assume none of the rest of us have a clue either.
I know it can be intimidating to wander into a room full of people speaking over your head about things you don't understand. But that doesn't mean they are fakers or posers. It just means you don't know what they're talking about.

I just don't know how people are so ready to spill their ignorant judgments on things they don't know about!

Would I go to a civil engineer and tell him he doesn't know how to design a highway overpass? No. Why do you think you get to tell others what they know or don't know?

Don't be that guy on the right. It's okay to not know everything. Some people know things that you don't know.
You could learn them, but you don't know them.

If you want to talk about Clinton, go to a thread about Clinton. There are plenty.

No dude, I am using the standard diagnostic manual that we professional mental health clinicians use to make a diagnosis of a person's personality and behavior patterns.

I KNOW THIS STUFF. I AM TRAINED AND QUALIFIED. That's the standard I'm using.
