The Dem's really do not have to anything at this point. Trump is doing all the work by himself. Self destructing . Polls have Clinton at a 83%+ chance of winning. Even in fox news latest poll Clinton is up by 10 points.

I guess it comes down to which source (polls 3 months out vs models) you look at. Remember Dukakis was up over Bush by 15% this time in 1988 and Bush won the election.

The Primary Model predicts that Trump will defeat Clinton with 87 percent certainty. He is the candidate of change. When voters demand change, they are willing to overlook many foibles of the change candidate. At the same time, the candidate who touts experience will get more intense scrutiny for any missteps and suspicions of misconduct of the record of experience.

Didn't mean to diss your thread. It wasn't personal. I was only trying to make a point, didn't mean to do so at your expense.

No apologies necessary. You were on point. I also am not personally concerned whether Melania Trump came here illegally or not. This OP was about reconciling the unprecedented and fierce anti-illegal-immigration rhetoric of Trump and his supporters with actual, real-life, still-unanswered inconsistencies around whether Donald Trump's wife broke US immigration laws.

Put another way...How deep Trump and his supporters are willing to dive into the depths of hypocrisy interests me and is worth examining much more than the open question of whether she broke US immigration laws.

For the love of God...Trump spent over a year publicly demanding the Presidents birth certificate...

"I never thought to stay here without papers. I had a visa. I traveled every few months back to the country to Slovenia to stamp the visa," she said during the MSNBC interview.

U.S. immigration law did not require such trips that Mrs. Trump describes for work-visa holders at the time. People who hold visitor visas would be required to leave the country on or before the end date of their authorized stay. U.S. law does not allow someone to use a visitor visa to regularly live and work in the country.

Basically did she get paid for working while on a tourist visa in 1995. Agency say no but who can you trust anymore.

I am not a defender of most of Trump's nonsense ramblings but was he even around her at that time.

To answer these questions directly...

She hasn't acknowledged being here in 1995...even now..Despite the photo-shoot, her roommate etc.

The agent who says he got her a visa...got it for her in 1996, not 1995 and said he doesn't know what visa she might have had in 1995 when she was in NYC.

The photographer who shot the pics in 1995 in NYC says she wasn't paid.

Other interesting notes..The modeling agent who claims he got a Visa for her in 1996? He is also a close Donald Trump friend and was the one who first introduced Melania to Donald. That modeling agent said he had some business dealings with Donald and that is how he knew him. Sounds like a high-priced "match-maker".

why is this post not considered racist? If any republican ever questioned anything about citizenship, the cries of RACIST rang out like bell. Post like this show that Democrats use words that end in "isms" and "ists" to shut you up and make you agree with them.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

the facts are

that the current WH Destroyer in Chief

has farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr worse, more serious, more outrageous, more criminal, corrupt, deceptive, manipulated gaps in his educational record, birth record, immigration . . . records than probably any other public figure in our history. Yet the Oligarchy succeeded in shoving him down our throats with their delusional full court propaganda press--much as they are doing with the screechy one.

He's, at his core, virtually the opposite of how he was presented.

Didn't Melania introduce Trump to Putin?

We know Putin and Trump have great respect for each other and when questioned on the nature of their relationship, Trump first said there WAS a relationship, later said there is NO relationship; he claims to have never met Putin, and yet expresses confidence that U.S. and Russia will be closer under a Trump presidency.

What do we really know about Melania, other than she's a Russian communist? Does anyone else see the classic cold gaze of a spy/assassin in almost every photo?

Perhaps this is a much longer game. Perhaps Donald is nothing more than the weak buffoon with money, and Melania is the actual Manchurian Candidate. It wouldn't take long in a Trump Presidency to see she's the brains. What I'm saying is, end game... President Melania Trump. In the mean time, she works as a spy inside the White House, a silent controller of Donald's, while helping twist the values of normal red-blooded Americans to be more in line with a dictatorship.

We definitely need documentation, not Photoshopped pdf's and definitely not the empty words of her supposed "modeling" agency.

* I don't really want this to become a thing in people's minds. The birther movement was enough of a puke fest...

Former CIA chief: Putin recruited Trump as an 'unwitting agent' of Russia

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia was a career intelligence officer, trained to identify vulnerabilities in an individual and to exploit them.

That is exactly what he did early in the primaries. Mr. Putin played upon Mr. Trump’s vulnerabilities by complimenting him. He responded just as Mr. Putin had calculated.

Mr. Putin is a great leader, Mr. Trump says, ignoring that he has killed and jailed journalists and political opponents, has invaded two of his neighbors and is driving his economy to ruin. Mr. Trump has also taken policy positions consistent with Russian, not American, interests — endorsing Russian espionage against the United States, supporting Russia’s annexation of Crimea and giving a green light to a possible Russian invasion of the Baltic States.

In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.

Yep, I'm sure the intelligence agencies are fully aware of the situations, but when you don't have solid proof of a crime, you can only play chess. Maybe Melania knows this and is feeding the "rigged" system to Donald.

So, did Melania introduce Trump to Putin? And how do you suppose a stunning model gains access to the misogynist power-hungry Putin? If she introduced Donald, I guarantee Putin tapped that. Just saying... that's how a model has power to introduce anyone to Putin.

You kinda repeated what I stated.

Is the photographer being truthful about '95 or could some else given her payment was my point about that one. I thought she admitted to the shoot in '95.

How could she be in pictures then in the US and not be here...

It water under the bridge now, other than if true, Trump gives her the only pass it seems.

Well then... I was just playfully pointing out their double standards but that's actually pretty interesting. If the shoe was on the other foot, they'd definitely be demanding investigations. They still push conspiracy theories about Pres Obama being a Muslim Brotherhood operative, even though his administration is aiding Egypt's govt. Egypt has not only declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, but they've been at literal war with them since 2013.

It gets even funnier if you think about it hard enough. (-puts on my tinfoil hat-) Isn't it a bit suspicious that:

1. Orly Taitz, the Queen of the anti-Obama "birther" movement, is from a former Soviet country?

2. Melania Trump is from Slovenia, which was then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia?

3. Donald Trump praises Russia's leader Putin & acts like a Putin ally?

4. Trump's foreign policy adviser Carter Page supposedly visited Moscow in July to give "speeches criticizing decades of U.S. foreign policy"? (link)

At what point are the conspiracy theorists going to wake up and connect the dots! After all of the Nibiru threads, threads with Apocalyptic predictions, and other conspiracies, I'm actually disappointed at the lack of conspiracies about the birther movement being a Russia "PSYOP", Melania being a Soviet spy/double agent, and Donald being a Russian Manchurian Candidate. lol

(-takes off tinfoil hat-) To be fair, I don't actually have a problem with immigrants or anyone who tries to better themselves. If that's what she did in 1995, so be it. But I do have a problem with the right wing's hypocritical double standards when contrasting their anti-immigrant rhetoric to the apologist crap we're seeing in this thread when it's one of their own who's actions are suspicious.

I must confess I wondered to than I looked in to her background she was living in Milan and paris. So you can see she shut the door on her country long before she moved to the US. But as an international model in thr 90s Russia was having so many problems they couldnt afford a stick of gUm much less plot against Trump.

Actually, that supports my theory if you think about it. The Soviets were so poor and desperate that they had to use a crazy plot like this. Think about all of the movies that start with one lone operative who must save his/her people from the big bad enemy. My theory claims that Melania and Orly were those operatives (assuming those are their real names).

And the right wing still isn't convinced (as this thread on ATS's front page shows).

FYI, I am not right wing and that's my thread.

But, please do go after all the proof you feel you need. I think it's totally fair.

I'm also referring to the massive number of comments in that thread (sorry for the accusation at you specifically). 29 pages & 100+ flags so far, right? And that's 8 years after the initial "issue" came to light. But when the shoe's on the other foot, they act like I'm supposed to take 1 article as definitive proof of no immigration shenanigans.

Yes...They admitted to the Photo Shoot...but when asked about all the inconsistencies..specifically how they have always explained her coming here in 1996 and the photo-shoot was in NYC in 1995...she responded ""In recent days there has been a lot of inaccurate reporting and misinformation concerning my immigration status back in 1996,"

Catch that? 1996 not 1995?

Ducking again...the whole question of why she has claimed repeatedly that her first time in the USA was 1996..vs. 1995 and not answering what her visa status was when she was living in NYC in 1995 (her roommate at the time has said he shared an apartment with her that was paid for by an agent)..

How could she be in pictures then in the US and not be here...

There is no question she was in NYC in 1995, had an apartment, did the photo-shoot...she has just not answered what her status was...and keeps citing 1996 in her answers about how she "followed the laws" and even the agent who came out now says he got her the Visa in 1996...not 1995.

See the question?

Exactly... A Hail Mary play when they needed it most. And how easy is Donald to control and manipulate? He's a perfect target. He responds to money, women, and power. Give him compliments and he's all yours. And if Russia needs Trump to act aggressively, that's when you throw a little criticism his way and watch him react.

A solid Hail Mary play.

Paul Manafort...Trump's campaign head

UKRAINE:

President Viktor F. Yanukovych, who owed his election to, as an American diplomat put it, an “extreme makeover” Mr. Manafort oversaw, bolted the country in the face of violent street protests. He found sanctuary in Russia and never returned, as his patron, President Vladimir V. Putin, proceeded to dismember Ukraine, annexing Crimea and fomenting a war in two other provinces that continues.

Please try to see that nobody is doing this to Trump, but Trump himself. It's irresistible to point it out.
You must know that. Look what the republicans did to John Kerry when he was running. "Flipflopping". With Trump it's such a common thing nobody even mentions it. "Trump flipflopping". Does the sun shine?
