The hilarious part for me, a non-US citizen, is watching all of those that cried murder when Obama was asked about his birth certificate, now demanding to see Melania's work visa from 1995.

It's like watching a two headed dog try to chase one tail, but both heads keep going in the opposite direction. A little bit terrifying, a lot ugly, but hugely entertaining.

Actually, what you're watching is called "payback".

For years, we've had to hear conservatives rant against illegal immigration. For years, conservatives claimed that illegal immigrants "take our jobs" and "steal from our social programs". For years, conservatives have even claimed that law-abiding "illegal" immigrants are still criminals simply for being here. And ever since Trump announced his candidacy last summer, he's literally built his campaign on the policy of kicking out illegal immigrants and building a wall to supposedly stop them from entering the country.

Years ago, Trump was even one of the major "birther" voices who continued pushing the narrative that Pres Obama's citizenship papers were forged, etc. Yet now, those very same conservatives are making excuses for Trump's immigrant wife who lied about her immigration situation and illegally worked on a tourist visa. It's a classic case of "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

Just in case you don't know, the stereotype for "illegal immigrants" in America doesn't match the reality. The stereotype is a bunch of "Hispanic" people climbing across the border. But the reality is far more complex, including people who overstay on tourist visas, people who come on tourist visas but start working here illegally, and people who have legit work visas but stay in the country after that visa expires. That's why it's preferred to call them "undocumented workers" as opposed to "illegal immigrants", since "undocumented workers" includes the whole picture.

Why are you guys still spinning this?
The modeling agency that Melania worked for got her a legal visa for working.

The OP was WRONG.

Former Modeling Agent Says He Got Melania Trump's Visa

Melania Trump obtained a work visa before she modelled professionally in the United States in the mid-1990s, her former modeling agent told The Associated Press. That appeared to back up her statements as recently as Thursday that she adhered to U.S. immigration laws as she went from a Slovenian model years later to an American citizen.
...
On Thursday, Zampolli said he personally secured a work visa for Mrs. Trump, who in the mid-1990s was named Melania Knauss, while he was a partner at modeling agency Metropolitan Models.

"She qualified. We got her the H-1B as soon as she came," Zampolli said, referring to the type of work visa that U.S. companies can obtain for "fashion models of distinguished merit and ability." H-1B visas generally allow a person to work and live in the U.S. for three years with the opportunity to renew them for another three years.

Zampolli said he based the H-1B application on Trump's previous modeling work in Paris and Milan. "We used whatever she did before to get her a visa," he said. "She had enough tear sheets to qualify."

In interviews earlier this year with MSNBC and for a profile in Harper's Bazaar, Trump said she periodically traveled back to Slovenia to make sure she was adhering to the terms of her visa, though U.S. immigration law did not require such trips for work-visa holders at the time.

Well their problem is that they don't want to be wrong, nor will they admit being wrong. Just like with the Purple Heart thing. People here have spread lies that it was a fake thing but there is an interview with the Lt Colonel saying it was a real medal he gave away. Point the truth out to the leftists here and they will either ridicule it or ignore. In this case they just decided to ignore it and left the thread like rats after you came and posted the article. 11 pages worth of nonsense died on it's tracks.

I'll give you applauses for that.

Thanks - and very true regarding what happens with subjects such as this. Every time one source brings up some stupid little thing about Trump, so many jump on it and celebrate it as fact, even though it is usually a lie, or at a minimum it is something that was twisted or taken out of context. And this happens in spite of the PROOF in the DNC leak that the DNC has their tentacles in the narrative of liberal MSM.

And yet they defend Hillary, in spite of decades of facts that show some seriously corrupt, frightening, activity.

So you are mentioned in government reports?

Hmmm

Don't answer that.

So it's the government reports that make you corrupt, and not the act of lying?

Hmmm

Al Capone was in business for... I think 20 years. It is a well known fact that he was guilty of many crimes. And yet he managed to evade prosecution until he was finally convicted for tax fraud.

Al Capone had power and resources, but even he did not have a fraction of the power and resources that Hillary Clinton has.

The moral is - just because someone is not convicted does not mean that they are not guilty.

Al Capone...the standard bull# answer.

Apparently you don't know how our justice system works. Innocent until proven guilty.

Any other approach, such as yours, is anti-American and anti-Constitutional.

If we took the same line of thought to it's conclusion, we could say that Trump is a rapist, even though he hasn't been convicted of it. He's been accused of it and even has a lawsuit pending of having relations with an underage girl.

Take your pick.

It sounds like what you want is for both sides to be fair, and respect the truth. I agree. Are you as open and willing to accept truth as you wish others to be? If so, then we can all start extending olive branches and that would be a very good thing.

A civil lawsuit can be brought by anyone, and rich people are especially susceptible to fraudulent cases. Rich people running for president who have enemies are double susceptible. The case you mention is a civil case, not a criminal case.

Al Capone compared to Hillary Clinton is a much better comparison. There are books, web sites, federal documents, FBI investigations, and decades of accumulated information documenting the corruption in the Clinton organization.

Note: This thread is not about this subject. There are already many threads discussing Clinton corruption. So I won't respond to this subject any longer in this thread.

honestly,I don't believe this. although melenia is gorgeous, I don't think she was all that big of a model.. I could be wrong. i'm having a hard time finding any real modeling photos taken before she met Donald. again, I could be wrong.

how do you feel about the fake degree? if a guy had asked you to lie about your education, would you do it? how would you feel about it? if a guy asked me to lie about my education.. oh, hell no!

CNN had a guy on a few minutes ago, saying he was the photographer who took those pictures, and she wasn't paid.
He said she was young at the time, and just looking to become known. If she wasn't paid, she didn't break the law.

But yes, release her visa information, and put an end to the debate. (And while you're at it, some of us would like to take an (in-depth) peek at your tax returns.

You know, inquiring minds, blah blah blah.

This happens every year.

Democrats attack the Republican nominee with the help of the liberal media outlets and defend their candidate to the death.
Republicans attack the Democratic nominee with the help of the conservative media outlets and defend their candidate to the death.

Why in god's name do people act like this election is special. Every year, history repeats itself and every year so many of you dance to the song of the pied pipers.

STOP IT!

Do you know how we caught Al Capone? We looked at what he was doing, found something he wasn't doing, and then quietly passed laws making not doing that thing illegal. Al Capone was the first person ever convicted of tax fraud, and he was actually paying taxes... more so (as a percentage of income) than most of America was paying. They literally invented a reason to convict him. Had we waited, there would be fewer laws against you today, and the Capone problem would have solved itself in 5 years anyways as his lifestyle had taken it's toll.

There's a lesson about how to handle Hillary in there somewhere. What sort of long term damage do you want to do, because you're so impatient that a 69 year old woman in declining health is a threat that 10 more years of living won't take care of?
