Question about the loss of an important thread

Since no one will comment on the part 2 thread, we would like to know what happened to the first thread of "Japan declares 'nuclear emergency' after quake" which was closed by Skeptic and then started a new thread under "part 2".

The information in that discussion took MANY people HUGE amounts of time to document and some of the information was only documented there. The loss of the entire thread is not excusable. You have backups of the databases, please restore that thread.

a thread like that has a lot of important info and is a good reference...I thought that they keep those threads but start a part 2 when they get too big.....if part one is really gone that is truely a shame.

Part one still exists, though closed for addition input, and is here.
