This is a laugh a minute thread.
1) Turkey did not close the base. The US and NATO did
2) The Turkish forces are there , by agreement , to secure the perimeter outside the base
3) Any form of weapon , and most definitely nukes , are not just left out for someone to trip over
4) Usually at a base like this anywhere in the world , there is a good size Marine detachment there to keep everyone and everything safe and sound

Really good if you dont know , and like doom porn

Absolutely. No question about it. Though they really dont give a rat's rear on what is going on outside.

Theres a lot of different perspectives being shown here and it's not a laughing matter no matter how it's spun.

If the Turkish people are protesting this NATO base, that is one thing.. but the sheer amount of Turkish "authorities" involved is another.

Ergodan has already suspected the previous coup was started by a guy living in pennslyvania. That means he believed it started via the U.S.

There is also speculation of a second coup, or at least one that Ergodan thinks is/was in the making, and by those dwelling at the Incirlik base which include U.S. soldiers.

This could end up with Turkey no loger in NATO and change the whole outlook in the ME.

I think it would be ignorant if not slightly arrogant to pass this off as nothing out of the ordinary.

There is one confidence I do have in the US military, and that is remote nuke storage.

I'm pretty sure Turkey would have a really bad day if they made any real moves on that base.

That is true. I do have to wonder though, how much is really going on behind closed doors. I've said it before but i''ll say it again, what did Obama discuss with Erdogan in that 'Closed' meeting while he was in Turkey? It seemed odd to me that not a lot of people in media questioned it.

Did they do a turkish dance and get wildly drunk, for fun? I highly doubt that was the case but to take a plane using tax payers $$$ and then not discuss what the purpose of the entire trip was with Americans?

Highly Suspect.

Despite it's sabre rattling, the DPRK's nuclear weapons are to deter a US invasion. The Kim dynasty became quite worried about it after Saddam was ousted. Bush made it quite clear they and Iran were next if they ever got the chance.

Erdogan's motives aren't quite clear. It looks like he's gone off the deep end. Tired of being an American puppet, needing a new enemy to cement his own power, lot of possibilities.

I suspected Turkey will have to leave NATO in this post 30 days ago. To me, it looks like it is already beginning.

Why would you think that, that's stupid.

Yet... You haven't really mentioned why people shouldn't be worried, other than 'oh you guys are dumb this thread is dumb, and we should just believe what NATO tells us along with others on the matter. So unless 'You're' stationed there you wouldn't know any more than what you've been fed, as well, which is why people on this tread are 'questioning' it, rather than burying their heads in the sand and letting it go.

The photos speak Volumes, People are clearly concerned.
