A friend of mine from Hamburg cannot say a bad word about Merkel.

Was she at the border when terrorists entered? no.

Was she in Iraq when ISIS took over? no.

The burden cannot be forced upon a single person like Atlas when he had to hold the world upon his shoulders. Merkel did not let those terrorists in personally, maybe a lax in security was the cause.

How would you like it if you were called a Moron due to other Morons mistakes? Sure Merkel gave the green light but she was not doing border patrol, and if border patrol did their job properly...

Hold on one minute, My wife who is of south east Asian heritage before she even thought of setting foot in Europe had to produce all written job offers she has, then she needed to produce a stamped criminal background check, she then needed a extensive medical check with a certificate plus a HIV test and lung X-Ray. She then had to prove her education and degree plus a Isles exam to say she could write and understand English to a certain level. Oh and she needed to show she had funds and enough cash for a return ticket if the job did not work out. Oh and she had to wait nearly 18 months for the Visa to be granted.

All this was for someone that had a job offer's all ready on the table and would be working in a key worker role in Med tech.

You are telling me doing the most fundamental checks on Migrants who just state they are coming from Syria and who just state they are under 18 should be allowed to walk straight in as that is what has happened. How naive can people be.

The nationalist wave is here. From the US, to Turkey, Russia, China and everyone inbetween.

How far will it be ridden?

And will it spell doom for some?

For the ones that seek to destroy western cultures and society it will spell doom...
There is a sleeping bear that is patriotic nationalism being poked by multiple entities right now. Slowly waking up.
I see natural born citizens banning together across the globe to combat globalism and the destruction of the freest most prosperous social and economic system ever created. Capitalism and democracy! It's what put a man on the moon, it's what ended slavery in the western world.

Sure it isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than the alternatives!!

I would like to retain what little quality of life I still have compared to previous generations.
If that makes me a nationalist so be it!!!

You make the typical assumption that the only alternatives are the ones that have already been tried...ie capitalism, communism, socialism, etc.

Capitalism is a dead end, like the rest of the experimented socioeconomic models. clearly real democracy stopped LONG ago and money isn't even real outside of the mass psychology which perpetuates it. You are clinging on to illusions at best.

The world we live in would be much better off if politics ceased to exist along with the illusions of money. Only then will we solve the REAL problems which are common to everyone: war, hunger, greed, corruption, poverty, the vast majority of crime...

Don't fear the unknown by clinging on to the comfortable illusions of the past. It just greases the wheels TPTB love to spin.

Ummmm, no...sorry, that's not how this world works. Merkel took he job. She called the shots. She takes the blame. Not the border patrol. If they did what they could with what they had while being told to do only so much, then it's clearly the person at the top who is responsible for delivering the commands down the chain and or not responding properly to the situation at hand. Why wasn't she at the border? Seems as though it was quite the crisis which needed some extreme attention paid to it. And clearly that didn't happen either.

The German people have every right to eject her from office and I hope to hell they do throw her to the wolves.

I just feel some people on here underestimate the seriousness of her failings, they are so fundamental as a commander of a country the native peoples security is at the top of the list next to not getting drunk and pushing the red button or leaving the CCTV on when you have a bondage and coc aine party.

Blaming border staff is just moronic, I would guess they had the same orders the Police did regarding the migrants which was a hands off nothing to see here approach that came from high up. I also have a bit more faith in people that are employed to do such a jobs and the frustration of having ones hands tied.

You can try and excuse her actions but honestly innocent people are dead the buck stops with her. If I had a family member caught up in this esp a Child I would be looking to massacre worlds because of her..

Personally, I think we're heading towards Armageddon. An extremely primitive religion is overtaking the world stage and we will, literally, be thrown into a world-wide war with these people in order to preserve our way of life, freedom.

I really do weep for my country of origin. It is dying under the scourge of Islam and the Muslims are laughing at us in absolute glee.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . perhaps I'm misreading you . . . but it appears that your glib assertions are out-running your thinking.

1. 3 or more people = politics. Always has. always will. That's human reality. There's no changing that.

2. Certainly taking the evil out of the human heart will help . . . but that is something only the Prince of Peace can accomplish--and He requires our cooperation.

3. Money . . . sooooooooo, what do you propose? Barter? That's more or less money at a more clunky, awkward and inconvenient level.

4. Any more clever ideas?

And what . . . 50% or so of the USA populace is still propaganda lobotomized brain-dead terminally clueless about such realities . . . living in media saturated la-la land blathering all manner of absurd inanities along with suicidally stupid lies as though they were true reality.

1350 right-winger marching against Merkel
1000 left-winger marching against fascism

4050 people took democracy to the streets, as we in Germany usually do. In Berlin, no big deal at all.

Meanwhile our gullible people swallowed another dailyfail story hook, line & sinker. Do your research, use regional sources, compare them with each other and get your mind blown from all the disinfo in the MSM. Fricken no-brainer.

Uhhhhhhhhhh ...maybe I'm misreading you, but maybe your blind assumptions are clouding your ability to see possibilities which TPTB would never want to exist... because they would then cease to be TPTB...

1. Remove people from government. In other words, remove politicians from the process, they are actually useless and do indeed get in the way. Public servants will still be needed, though gradually less and less as the best solution would be to have a real democracy where EVERYONE actually has a say in EVERYTHING. I would imagine it would be over the Internet and connected to a cybernetic system which would have real-time data on the resources available to everyone. And not just within imaginary lines...I'm talking the whole planet. Also, it's a matter of time before we stop hiring the person to drive the street sweeper as it'll drive itself.

2. Religion has done nothing and will continue to do so for the people of earth. Spiritually, whatever, it's an individual thing. But in the grand scheme of bettering humanity, it's pretty useless. Realistic solutions for abhorrent human behavior is the only path that is left to take. Look at any stat about violence and or crime. Money or the lack thereof has everything to do with it. Marginalized communities and individuals tend to exhibit and experience abhorrent behaviors. It has nothing to do with good or bad. It had everything to do with how and in what environment we are raised.

Hitler was not born Hitler and Gandhi was not born Gandhi. Their environments molded them into the people we know today.

3. Either pay everyone a universal basic income or get rid of the money illusion all together. This obviously could not happen overnight as it takes time to change mass psychology away from believing that people need to OWN things and Protestant ideas of working hard to earn little or nothing is the only way to be a good person aren't easy things to shake for everyone overnight. Like, what a load of crap that is. Leave it to the robots. Workers of the world....RELAX and enjoy life for what it is. The majority of jobs on earth exist to create tax mule's and could easily be eliminated or automated. This also would help in decreasing the massive waste that capitalism spawns in all aspects of life. From the emotional to the material. Cars come to mind as one of the largest burdens someone could financial take on in their lifetime. Why not make them the best we can, in fewer numbers, make them last and use it as you need it. No need to own it. Robots make them now, no reason they can't fix them too. But then again, if they are engineered to the max, then there really wouldn't be much to fix. Apply that to everything you buy now!

4. Yes, ultimately I believe a resource based economy as opposed to the current monetary based economy, would be the best alternative to capitalism or any ism. Which would likely ensure a true democracy at the same time. At least much better than the illusions we deal with at the moment.

This is the quickest way I could respond without total derailment of the thread. Clearly it leaves many questions unanswered.

If you have any other questions or ways to crap on other peoples ideas and opinions or you want to chat more about this, message me or start a new thread.

I still think you have not thought things through far enough.

1. As long as evil lurks in the heart of every person . . . whatever system devised will erode into ugliness.

2. Public servants will tend to cobble together more and more turf and more and more power in whatever system, structure devised.

3. I'm somewhat interested in how you'd plan to structure an exchange of goods and services.

4. Even the early church of devoted Christians loving one another intensely selflessly sufficiently to "SHARE ALL THINGS IN COMMON" could not persist in that arrangement beyond a short space of time.

Thousands hardly seems like a real resistance to the immigration policies of the far left. This is a crack in the wall, and maybe a start but I dont see how, this puts merkel on the ropes.

These crazed far left policies are feeding an extremist authoritarian backlash that is growing. I hope the delusion of the far left can,be stopped without swinging wildly to an authoritarian backlash. What we need everywhere is a sensible approach to borders and foreig, relations and a minimalist approach to domeatic government. That is really the only stable approach that doesnt end in war and misery.

Sounds about right. Sometimes people just can't help themselves. There's an element that just seems to be itching for some kind of clash of civilizations prize fight.

Not vetting migrants better strikes me as pretty stupid, but I do hope people try to remain calm/resolve this through civilized processes rather than some massive anarchist rage quit in the streets.

Does that make you feel good, and what is your goal or end game anyway? I suggest a doctor so you maybe can be medicated.
