In my opinion, Burma is no different to Cambodia under Pol Pot.
The military led regime is very powerful and has an army of over 400,000.
Aung San Suu Kyi is an icon. But because of this, there is really no-one else to take her place when she dies. The democracy movement will be much too
weak without her to pose a threat to the junta.
It's going to take outside interference to shift them.
