I grew up in a town called Lewiston- up in Maine.
It's essentially south canada, for anyone who is wondering- I don't think I met a black person until I was 12.

In the wake of the 9/11 tragedy a firestorm erupts when Mayor Larry Raymond of Lewiston, Maine sends a letter to 1,100 newly arrived Somali refugees advising that the city's resources are strained to the limit and asking that other Somalis not to move to the city.

Might be of interest to some people in this thread. The city couldn't handle the newfound load- and fell apart. We were fortunate enough to have the resources to leave, and moved to a small town between cities until the initial shock wore off. Later moved further south, to a larger city also crushed by the influx of refugees (and homeless from Boston, but that's another story)- but with much higher taxes to afford the help.

I don't fear it- but there's no question that a huge influx of people who don't speak the language and can't work the available jobs has put considerable strain on the cities around here, and the strain has only decreased the amount of humanity in the law enforcement all around.

Dont' know why it's up to the governors on allowing anyone into the state without the approval of the voters..should be up to the voters how the resources are dispersed...

Yes people should know about Sharia, it's propaganda and how it is used to oppress Islamic people.

It's not a right wing boogeyman, in fact Sharia goes against liberal principles (well, at least real liberals. Maybe not the disgusting racists and bigots that are currently populating the DNC) more than conservative principles.

There are many things being seen in forms of modern Islamic culture which is NOT called for in the Quran, yet is used to oppress and control.

I would think that some nutjob from an opposing religion (probably a christian) had enough money to waste on this billboard. I would think that they believed that this image and question would cause just enough of a stir among the uneducated flock to garner a bunch of hateful and scared comments on facebook and other random forums, that they could sneak in and steer the convo to best suit their desired response.

Good- because it just gets worse. I wasn't a great student, and it turns out that was for the better. I did manage to scrape through the public fool system by doing the minimum requirements- but the more I learn about the real world the more I see that everything I was taught as a child was a lie.

I don't have kids- but I've got niblings. Their father once asked me something that really stuck with me.

How- How do I tell them that the police aren't there to help them? How do I explain to them that they need to explicitly trust these protected criminals until they reach a certain age?

It's a good question, but children are taught to blindly trust the police- and inherently the entire government. There is never any question. Then they get to be teenagers, and they rebel against their parents- and it's well known stereotypical behavior. Go too far and you wind up in prison, so they're taught young to stay in line or else.

The boogymen are real, and they're running things.
We don't need to fear some other lifestyle- but injecting it into our own will cause a little turbulence. In the end, we're just rabblerousing and will be put down if we rabble too loudly. Those in charge are just spreading the shenanigans around to keep us distracted.

Before the year end the Muslim president will bring another 100 thousand Syrian refugees to America, this people are guarantee, housing, education, jobs and food, something that many born in American citizens don't even dream to have this days.

Still the FBI director gave a warning of what is within the Syrian refugees migrating all over the world, terrorism.

Still with the way that the administration is spreading this refugees in the nation people do not see evil and hear no evil.

Even states are complaining of the wave of refugees taking state resources and increase violence within the refugees.

Then people have not mental rational thinking anymore, they don't see that if Hillary gets into the Presidential seat she is as antigun as it can comes, America full of jihadist refugees and American citizens fighting for the second amendment.

While the Islamic population are fighting for the right to wag war against the American constitution while using our right to freedom of religion.

Americas keep apologizing for what is an invasion all over the world and here in the US

But is not until death, terrorism starts to hit close to family and friends that they will get the idea and still is going to be those apologizing among the chaos and death.

Wait when the Muslim friendly president leave the white house, terrorism will increase in America.

Because after all in America they have the right to enforce their Islamic laws of terror in the name of religious freedom.

We will be fighting for our identity as a nation, our rights to defend our self and for our constitution, Americans that still love this nation will be up and in arms and will be tag terrorist by the government.
