Complex things have a tendency to break sometimes..
Could it be some nefarious plot, sure but it's more logical and likely that the severe weather that came through this area played a part in it then anything else..

Additionally Twitter is up and fine in Philly right now, I work about 50 feet from City Hall, so maybe whatever you were experiencing was temp.

Additional live sourcing, watching and reporting. The MSM use a lot of social media now and Twitter is one the largest in its category.

It's down on the map. It wasn't a personal experience. It is down right now, so it is either a ddos and you are one of the few or that was then and this is now. Were are you now? At the DNC?

ETA- I'm not worried about city hall. My Aunt is at the DNC as is my cousin.

The map still shows it down and since my house is 13 (used Twitter this morning on the way into work) blocks from the Wells Fargo center and like I said previously i work next to City Hall (used Twitter a few mins ago) im more suspect of the map not being accurate or not updating in real time.

Additionally a complex network going down can have and the majority of the time does have other explanations then a DDoS.

Agreed and like thank you for the personal input. My guess is twitter had an explosion in traffic before Hillary's speech or some such. Not a blackout necessarily then.

Oh no twitters down in nyc..

Now noone can post vapid one sentenced brain diarrhea on the internet.....and worse those poor folks in nyc wont be able to read it.....the humanity.
