Immigrant Advocacy Group Calls For Ouster of DNC Spokesman Over Leaked Email

A leading Washington Immigrant Advocacy Group is calling for the ouster
of the Democratic National Committee’s chief spokesman over an email
he wrote that calls a push for federal protection of unaccompanied
Central American minors “irresponsible.”

In a leaked email DNC spokesman Luis Miranda wrote this about
Central Americans who have crossed illegally into the United States:

“The problem is these groups don’t want to hear this, they want us to send a message to Central Americans to keep paying smugglers and put those kids at risk of abuse and even death,” Miranda wrote in a May email about Obama administration immigration raids. “Frankly the rhetoric on this and calls for TPS [temporary protected status] are irresponsible, they send a message that ends up in more lives lost.”

This proves beyond a doubt that with the Democratic Party, its all about
do as we tell you, not do as we do. Hypocrisy at its maximum.

Were not talking about adults here either, these are children
that are in the U.S. ..and and yet the Dem position is they
think it would irresponsible to protect these children!
The DNC and Miranda have no response to this, they think
they can just ignore it all and it will go away...and
apparently its leaders think they are above accountability!

Truly makes me wonder if the Democratic Party really only
"values" these issues as a ways to divide the political landscape
up with talking points to divide the country and gain votes.
Personally, I hope "heads roll" over this. ( figuratively speaking )

I don't really see the issue, here, other than the emotional response by those who, rightfully claimed by Mr. Miranda, don't want to hear the truth.

The reality is that if we reward illegal behavior, it promotes more illegal behavior, hence his apparent claim that providing temporary (not permanent) protection status will motivate more people to put their children at risk by sending them this way with hopes of the same protections.

I get the idea behind it, and if someone takes off the emotional goggles and puts on the logical ones, it's a point that shows more compassion for these illegals than setting up a system that promotes more of the same journeys with children from Central America.

Yes, and there are plenty of other emails along
these same lines, yet the Party takes zero of
this seriously.

They should be humiliated with shame.
It is truly disgusting! Even though I have
never been a Democrat, I am embarrassed
for our country, to think these people are

I agree with you, but the issue is the hypocrisy by the DNC. On one hand they in private they speak about some of the dangers of illegal immigration, but on the other hand Trump is an inhuman racist for criticizing it.

The issue is the utter hypocrisy, to the point that
they are exposed for really holding the same views
as many Republicans in secret. But they use
this issue as a way to divide.

Oh, absolutely...but that wasn't the premise of the post, at least not as I read it.

Burntheships: I can see the similarities just fine. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone on ATS that claims that both parties are the same, and just adjust their rhetoric in response to the voting block they're seeking to woo to their side. I'm not that politically retarded, I promise.

It's a little hard to not name the DNC, when
it is their emails being exposed, and shocking
views and language that is really offensive.

Not just about this immigration issue, but
other issues such as bigotry, and downright
mocking and hatred towards other Americans.

I cant really get too fired up about hypothetical
comparisons, this is beyond that and someone needs
to be held accountable.

I'm with you on that...hypocrisy and lack of accountability are the two main problems with politicians. There are myriad others, but I think those two are the foundation of their crooked nature.
