Very interesting words have been spoken by Pope Francis:

Pope Francis has warned that a recent wave of jihadist attacks in Europe is proof that "the world is at war".
However, he stressed he did not mean a war of religions, but rather a conflict over "interests, money, resources".

BBC Article

He spoke these wise words in his visit to Poland on Tuesday and they seem to point towards the view many ATS members hold dear, that is the idea that those who have started these wars and are responsible for funding and stirring up terrorists are bigger players who have bigger goals, fighting proxy wars across the globe for their own illicit goals.

His whole quote was:

"The word we hear a lot is insecurity, but the real word is war,"
"We must not be afraid to say the truth, the world is at war because it has lost peace."
"When I speak of war I speak of wars over interests, money, resources, not religion. All religions want peace, it's the others who want war,"

I hope this makes some people wonder who those "others" really are!

The Pope is starting to make me wonder if he browses this very site

Is it any coincidence that this announcement comes after that French priest was beheaded?

At any rate, I think his message is on point

His comments were in response to the Priest's beheading.

I don't agree with much of what this man says, but yes in this instance he is on point.

Maybe he should tear down that racist and bigoted wall around the vatican-and flood it with muslim rapefugees.

What is good for the goose and all that.

The pope has to lie for appearance sake.

No different than a southern democratic politician.

Hasn't what he said always been the case since the beginning?

Maybe the Pope doesn't think Islam is a religion? Or that those who are doing this in the name of Islam are really Muslims?

Or maybe the Pope has no trouble with the idea of all the world being converted to one religion and killed if they resist which is the stated aim of Islam?

Of course, we do know about what happens to the world when we do see that one world religious system created by force ... It doesn't work out well for those who succumb.

"The world is at war because we lost peace"

Thats some profound stuff right there. Give this speech-writer a raise...

I have a hard time caring about what this man says since he's played a role in this whole situation by not only allowing it to happen but encouraging it as well.

This has probably been the most "political" pope since John Paul the Second.. everytime he talks, its like he is waiting for a re-election.

"the world is at war".

WW3 is upon us , there is no rule that says all World Wars have to follow the same path.

"When I speak of war I speak of wars over interests, money, resources, not religion. All religions want peace, it's the others who want war,"

As a religious leader he has to say that but it is nonsense , of course this is a religious war but the religious war is just a part of it.
