Queen - The Show Must Go On

Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives

This video is tough to watch as it's the last thing they did with Freddie. The ravishes of AIDS had clearly taken its toll on him so much that the reason the video was filmed in black and white was to try and mask how frail he actually looked. In watching the making of documentary for this video the other 3 talked about how tough it was to do this shoot. To see Freddie suffering but when the cameras were on him he would still give it his best. That explains the somewhat subdued and somber expressions on their faces throughout.

I prefer the earlier stuff.
Keep yourself alive and liar. Queen
Father to son and Nevermore. Queen 2
Tie your mother down. A day at the races
Love of my life and Bohemian rhapsody. A night at the opera
Fat bottomed girls. Jazz
Brighton rock. Live killers
Hammer to fall. The works
Thanks for a great topic.

These days I tend to dig into the album tracks for my Queen fixes. Oh boy, some of the biggies have been murdered via airplay. Bohemian Rhapsody has to be a half-cut pub singalong to be any fun nowadays lol.

Anyway, back end of News of the World:

Back end of Sheer Heart Attack:

First half of Queen 1st album. The drumming is outstanding on this one and it's amazing to think it was their first album. The band are really tight for this one and I'd LOVE to hear a more up-to-date production to give more depth and shape. Crap lyrics!!

First time I heard that song I was 6-8 years old and was travelling back from somewhere with my mate and his dad, he had Queen blasting and when that song came on he put the foot down on the gas... Quite the experience
The "now I'm here" bit and the drums at the beginning was coming from left to right with the surround sound system he had in the car, probably one of the best buzzes I've had in my life.

Too many great songs to choose from but I like this one also.
