Great video, it's a fun one.

I met Sting one time, in real life he sounds like Mickey Mouse, lol, it crushed me at the time.

Nice idea for a thread btw,

Last year I went with my brother and sister-in-law to a Porsche rally. I spent each day with my sister-in-law getting spa treatments while my brother drove the roads. In the evenings we joined up with the Porsche people to have a few drinks. They have a rule that you have to sing a song to the group to drink with them, and I swear to God the only song I knew all the words to was:

Got applause a few stood up even and then they all bought me rounds.

Thanks Janis

ETA: It really ticks me off that they keep putting an AARP ad across Janis on the vid!

Mickey Mouse? The guy always reminds me of a duck - but I love his music - thank heavens he doesn't sound like either when recording.

I can never get over the fact that especially my younger son loves all the 'oldies' he listens from the early 60s through to today so our music stays alive even if we occasionally drop off the planet - but no too soon cos I stall have a lot of listening to do.

Think the iPod was one of the best inventions I have ever found its bliss when shopping with the wife.

omg! that was the second single I ever bought the 1st being a very sad Esther & ABi OFarim Cinderella Rockerfella. I remember being sent a dansette record player when I was in Rhodesia which was so bad you had to balance coins on the arm to make the damn thing play or it skipped like a stone on water but it did make me very popular at school

That was one of the songs on one of our major tapes for a Navy human relations project workshop. I often think of it and occasionally use the title . . . It has a lot going for it. The Chaplain head of the project knew Janis well.

Her cackle at the end of at least one version is a kick.

I do not recommend washing ones eyes with soup. The lentils, noodles, or split peas could mess up ones tear ducts.

I'm saying it again, 75's are a sign of "old". Not 45s or 33s (vinyl albums), no matter what the song.

Today, its all "digital".

My personal fav was 8trak.
