That's because TERRITORIES are TERRITORIES not STATES.

There are five of those inhabited.

50 STATES.

Quite arguing nonsense.

Not remotely.

Actually, they are correct.

After the New Deal and when the Democrats began to side with the Civil Rights movement, there was shift in political affiliations. The Southern Strategy pushed that along and the Dixiecrats shuffled over to the Republicans.

When did Lyndon B. Johnson become a Republican?
Or isn't that long enough after the New Deal?
Yuuuuuuge racist , that one was.

It's ok, Neo. You don't have to be defensive if you didn't know there are 50 states, 5 territories, Washington DC and US Outlying Islands.

All US lands.

Make Puerto Rico the 51st state.

Each state gets 1 electoral vote which by law has to go to the candidate with the most popular vote of each state.

Whoever gets 26 votes is the new POTUS.

So much simpler and easier.

CNN are now openly campaigning for Clinton... now labouring on the woman card.
Trying to shame American people because there has been no woman President.
Apparently the fault lies with us for not trusting her - it;s only because she is a woman that. If she were a man we'd trust her.

Apparently CNN anchors don't know how many STATES and territories there are.

So please.

OOps you'll miss the roll call...

Both the Democratic and Republican parties, as well as other third parties, have agreed to let these territories participate in the presidential nomination process.

In the two major party's rules, "territories" are referred to as "states", which can be carried over in discussion and media implying there are more than 50 states.

Different context...

LOL.

This woman on CNN stream said ALL '57' states and territories.

I can't stomach watching this on CNN. They are so in the tank for Hillary.

I think even MSNBC is less bias anymore.

Been watching cspan, it seems to cover only the convention. No BS spin from the talking heads.

Fox just showed protests outside the convention center. BLM are there carrying signs saying "Hilary delete yourself".

And for the record people.

TERRITORIES do NOT have full voting rights.

John Oliver on why U.S. territories don’t have full voting rights

They only get invited to the dance only to be stood up at the end.
